Good year for apples?
landtracdeerhunter replied to NYBuckHunter27's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Apples, pears, plums, peaches, and cherries all look good here so far. Now, wish for hail free and we'll have a home run! -
Not hunting related but ........
landtracdeerhunter replied to fasteddie's topic in Hunting Related Pictures
Always nice to see nature pics. Come to think of it, we don't have a real spot for nature pics. -
Finally, someone comes forward with some good info on the Electra. Glad to see u like it. Does this solve the issues with missfire? Anything u don't like about it?

Great trees, real cheap!!
landtracdeerhunter replied to Geno C's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Walmart has several fruit trees here. Some are in bad shape. I offered 50 cents on the dollar for all the trees. The manager claims he can't touch the price until management gives him the ok. I can't understand the business practice they use. At least get 50% out of instead of nothing. -
A Live Test for Chronic Wasting Disease Shows Promise
landtracdeerhunter replied to mike rossi's topic in Deer Hunting
CWD continues in many areas throughout the country. This is great news for future reseach and possible treatment. It's rarely mentioned in NY. anymore, ( intrest in this forum even proves) although I'm not convinced, it's totally elimated. To assume that would be premature. -
How many of you...

The increase on the radish, I would strongly agree with. Now I'm not saying, they may draw effectively in all areas, but they were effective here with the drawing power from the start of bow right through muzzleloader season. I believe they fed on them through February this year. The deer still looked in good health at that point. I would think the carb effectiveness would be as good as field corn. -

Happys Fathers Day to all the dads. I will be enjoying my grandsons 1st birthday. -

Doe is a good thing come deer season. Nothing like natural decoys. Evens out the odds a little better, to shoot a nice buck! -
Hang in there my friend, all good doors deserve another, LOL.

Is it a commercial door with a horizonal spring above? We'll guess it really makes no difference, the springs are to tight. If it's commercial, be extremely careful. The springs are under a large amount of pressure. They wind them with a rather long bar.

I'm not sure I understand u. Of coarse, I'm in a state of shock from just viewing my swamp land. -
The manufactures have got to be loving it right now. The employees must be working several hours overtime.

I don't hoard, just have it " In Stock." Edit; A normal hunting families inventory.

Looks like 1" here, so far from the start at 6 am.. See where some counties in NY. are issuing flood advisories.

To me, this is the most challenging aspect to land management. It weighs in heavily with my plantings for the year. I believe a nitch can be created, to encourage deer to your area. Dr. Woods has helped. -
It's a moderate, steady rain here. It's time to stop the rain dance grow, LOL.

My place was starting to look like Lake Ontario, LOL.

Their's a lot to be desired in these modern day wheel bearing design. The old style cup and cone had it way over todays roller bearings. Hub was a little loose, pop the cap, pull the cotter key, tighten the nut, back off one slot and install the cotter. Clean the bearing every 50,000 and repack. Last a lot longer!

Cuomos tax free ......
landtracdeerhunter replied to growalot's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
The new Cabelas store on Walden Ave. in Cheektowaga is a classic example. Only U. S. Rep. Brain Higgens, town supervisor Mary Holtz, and the town board members were present at the official building anouncement on Monday. No state or even county official even bothered to show. Politicians would of been swarming the area if a bunch of handouts were given out, as they did when Bass Pro ( plenty of tax breaks were given) made the announcement to come to Buffalo years ago. These politicians know the ways to get, shall I say, lower mentility people to vote for them! It just makes me want to throw up. -
Happy Birthday!

OMG, u could start your own tv program;" Chasing Frog."

They start crooking, in the back yard, about 7. They echo right into the kitchen through the night. . That is where their going to end up, LOL.

I researched Sainfoil as a more cost effective replacement for alfalfa. The alfalfa seed price is becoming more out of reach and it looks like that could be my replacement. I struggle still, with the freight costs.
