Quick walk ..No sheds 2 dead heads one new one old..

Rubs, leftover acorns, old scrapes, trails. All show up well now.. and can be filed away as places to quick scout in late summer.. many oaks still have leaves and stick out if your not familiar with them in your area. You can find hidden groves.. sheds show bucks that made it through and maybe available in fall next year..

I did a lot of scouting and had a bird roosted ,took out my brother and snuck into the woods I had pre cleaned a trail so I could get close but had only cleaned 1 setup spot for myself. I got to my spot and set down quiet ,and pointed to a tree not 5 yards from me for my brother to set up as he was going to be shooter.. he proceeded to kick a limb out of the way so he could sit... the limb turned out to be 15 ft long and the dry leaves sounded like a bulldozer knocking down a glass shop... the big tom lit of of the tree and that was that...

First time garden from seed
G-Man replied to corydd7's topic in DIY - Do It Yourself, tutorials and videos
A garden that large black plastic is your friend, I have never had much luck from.seed other than squash ,corn, peas beans but I'm planting direct to ground. Plants need lot of heat light and water or they grow thin and spindly.. and have to be acclimatized to outdoor temps slowly.. imo buy a bunch of flats leave it to the professionals. Peas will be 1st.to get in ground as seed for me.. corn and squash in may, and potatoes in may. -
Biz. You should still get a few days/ nights of frost .it get the seed in the ground with no work other than walking to spread it, also very.usefull to fill in bare spots in existing plots. Done with " hard seed " clover, alfalfa for example.
