The banquets were much better years ago. I'm printed out and it's a lot of junk from china..no more real bronzes. If not for local buys and guns imo not worth going to .. when restoration of turkey was complete and it became a hunter heritage banquet it dropped off considerably

Bear are very sensitive to movement and smell same as a deer. Saw a video in the 80s where they used cider in spray bottle on way into the stand and while in it. Tried it it works well deer come in on a string nose in the air. I imagine hot cider in the air has same effect. But spray (atomizer) works with cold as well.

Worth quite a bit of money.. that's why they do it..

Apple cider in a misting bottle works all season for deer and if you get thirsty just squirt yourself a drink. Prolly.work for bear if they are around as well

I love to track , problem is private lands are not big enough to do it constantly. Driving to kill a deer in big woods just isnt my thing. Or driving anywhere for that matter

Went the last time it was in columbus..not a big fan of conventions,but the guy I went with was known well by all the big call makers personally was kind of nice being told by primos ,Quaker boy and hunter specialities people to stick with him as he would teach me all there was to turkey hunting.. was definitely strange to walk by booths and have staff come out to great him like a long lost friend.. quite humbling for me to think I didnt know how well he was know in those circles. Owe him a lot of my knowledge in my hunting technique and calling ability.

I would line the inside with aluminium, you could of skipped this step, I worry about temps and the phenols in the plywood glue at those temps. If was done with solid board tongue and groove or whole panels you wouldn't need to worry..wood has been used for smoke houses for years
