well actually shot a good one yesterday, but screwed up my foot tracking it, spent most of my bday in the er, good new is its not broke, bad news is severe sprain, have to see orthopidic dr. tomorrow. tore some tendons and ligament damage, ( probabally caused by climbing hill to get out of woods with bad ankle) what was normally a 10 mminute walk became two hours... always try to hunt with someone, or at least have some one to call if you need a hand, to that i'd like to thank my friend joe for getting me out and to help.

Well when I started recurve were it , then the battle for compounds, then allowing the use of releases, then fiber optic sights, then let off requirements, seems we over looked the upgrades in the long primate archery season. Is this my deer my time, a problem , yes it is, I love black powder and would love to see the season expanded, but bow and gun are so long where do you put it can't go later as many bucks lose their horns end of December, earlier well bow hunters are out there!!!! Let alone small game hunters spooking all the game.... My personal belief shorten all the season to 3 weeks archery, 2 weeks gun, 2 week muzzleloader. .. with a week between each season. Oh wait that means no hunting during the rut... well the trend is to want to save bucks and make em.older and bigger, so that will definitely do it!!

And you see a silouette of a nice figure across the street but to get to it you must cross the street filled with pit vipers, I bet that you stay where you are... nothing will help if predators are exceptional numerous , get rid of yotes and if habitat is good deer will move back in.

Waste of $$ most scents are,99 % are waste, learn the land find funnels, hunt down wind of where you expect to see deer, do that and you'll be 1000x more successful. If you spend the time you use trying to be scent free learning and increasing your woodsman ship skills you'll be amazed at what you can do.

Some 835 barrels are back bored and are not suitable for steel shot or slugs (these are ported barrels got the turkey special) a deadly gun past 50 yards from the factory, you'll need a slug barrel and possibly a bird barrel if you want to shoot waterfoul, You won't regret buying it, and as stayed earlier a cantilever for slug is way to go, if you are buying it with ported turkey barrel you will want a scope or sight for it as your pattern will be tight, I have not seen a factory gun ( even high quality and priced ?that will out shoot an 835 for turkey.

When there are a lot of hens thetoms don't have to gobble, and they learn not to as it atracks fox and yotes. 1 tom can breed dozens of hens , remember hens go to toms, we try and reverse that if there are few hens the toms come running ,if there are a lot of hens they usually have a bunch with them all the time,until egglaying and brooding is going on which can be late as there are to many hens.. I've gone in many times to a known roost area never heard a tom gobble and killed gobblers

Well as agent was at.my.house, he got a call from a guy that wanted to pick up a carcass tag for road killed deer (in the exact location I remove the buck from 3 hours earlier) agent smiled and said I guess I'll have to talk to him a little later... hoping it was the guy or friend of guy that got put up to getting the deer his buddy hit....

Yes got two tags for it a red evidence tag, and then a receipt for the release of said evidence for comsumption, Body was still warm but had cool considerably to maybe 80 degrees, stayed with the deer till I was given ok to gut and remove it , then officers met at my house to examine and took to kill site to examine
