Yup this year the tics are bad.Elmo not sure why u would think its to cold for them to be active these DAMN bugs dont care about temp I had them crawling on me even at 20 degrees .

Elmo you have to use the Sawyers spray with Permethrin. Works awesome......spray down all your clothes and you will be tick free. I'm not sure if it will help you out at the gay bars though....lol!!!!

Way too windy...way too sore and tired to be out today...besides rains coming in...still remembering the lost buck 2 years ago...no rain at hit...but the skys opened up for two days when search started...he is still haunting me...aauuughh

Going out to clean up garden before rain hits...be nice if non hunting "life" took a break during hunting season...lol

Saw 2 last night after last light had to wait to get out of the oak stand.

Went back there this morning in the same oak stand (saving my top morning stand for next monday), It was 45 and gusty at 545am...smelled deer around me all morning...first morning without a sighting though.

Just got into my stand wanted to be here earlier did chores around the house to make my gf happy this morning. Got to my stand Around two realized I left my phone in the truck and had to run back my gf likes to text from time to time to make sure I'm ok. God only knows what she would do if I didn't answer for three or more hours I'd have the CIA looking for me

Pretty quiet on here today thinking I might try for a couple hour sit tonight before my daughters open house ....

Sat or two hours this afternoon. Wind was perfect. Squirrels and birds were active. Deer were absent! Makes no sense.

Was out this am very chilly and a bit breezy saw 4 doe all together about 50 yds out. Sat for 2 hrs. this am then headed back out late afternoon wind died down and temps warmed up was actually a very pleasant sit however did not see anything another 2.5 hrs. Reporting from 8f town of webster.

Great hunt tonight. farmer called to say while cutting beans he jumped a monster 12pt near one of my stands,so thats where i went. Never saw him but I saw 4 doe with a 10pt,he was almost wide as ear tips with 6inch G2's.

Then when I got down 3 shooter bucks were just 50 yards away in field..... one ran off I dropped to all 4's and the other to just stared and then back to feeding, trapped in field for 15 minutes.

pretty good 2 hours 4 nice bucks.

Zip this a.m....until I rounded the edge of road going home there they were10a.m. feeding in turnips...headed south...wind perfect at that spot for p.m. hunt....3p.m. big doe and twins 100yrds out come in from the south to feed...mill around 5min then walk back into edge of woods...OK ....6:35 rolls around legal time up...no other deer came in from the south.... go to leave.... on second rung..sure enough in they trot fawn first...knows some things up 7yrds to my N/W...wind is SW...finally trots into woods farther and I hear Mom let loose and she snorts all the way down the hill....11days and caught on ladder at 3 different stands...and walk into them leaving woods 2 different times...LOL I need to get to camp...some times having deer all over isn't a good thing.... Wish the farmer south of me would cut the last standing corn field...That has a pattern they've been on for 10years all messed up in my favorite woodland stand site...makes for a good chess game.... though I'm getting "checked " a lot...fun

wow its cold here the windchill was at - 3 in 4o this morning and the movement has been slow as I see the sun starting to peek over the hill i am hoping that daddy shows and gives me a shot but fear not if its mommy or even family member that has some size I have a new G5 with there name on it good luck to all
