ALL DAY HUNTS

This wk looks like the wk to kill a big boy. How many will sit all day??? I know it can be mentally draining when they aren't moving but you gotta stick it out. Saw 2 big bucks this wk at 12:15 pm and 12:50 pm in food plots.

4 of the 6 on my wall were shot between 10;30 and 1;00. Vaca has officially started and it will be all day everyday. That is until my wife puts an end to the 4;00 am wake up calls.. LOL Needless to say, i'm hoping to get it done the first day and save myself some dirty looks.

I will be.I am shutting my phone off every day.I will have to leave a couple times to go pick up my 12 yr old.But just to take him to the woods too.

Never been one for an all day hunt, but like to be out as much as possible, and have been since Holloween. I aim for between 12 noon and 2:30, beside the morning and afternoon hunts.

I do the morning and evening hunts , but I make sure I spend 11:00 - 2:00 in the woods .... the lunch crowd tends to kick them a bit !

I'm giving it a go next 2 days all day for sure,then we'll see,got do the leaves maybe wed.AM. Now do you guys stay in one stand ? My plan is 3 stands tomorrow, need to warm up after sitting as long as I can in the AM. Walk to car,eat then into differant part of farm, where i do one or two till legal light .

Wish I could, stay at home dad has to stay at home until making money mommy gives me a few morning or evening hours to go.

Will be doing all day at my poconos cabin Saturday.

i usually always and only sit the full day. i rarely will ever go out for just a morning hunt or evening hunt unless i really have to get something done at home.

I start vacation Saturday (11/10), I'll be on stand all day at the point... till I can't do it anymore... I like the moon a lot better next week over this week...

I can usually only make it till around 10am then I'm either too cold or just gotta move before I go insane. Longest I ever sat till was 11 and that was rough.

I plan on doing some all day sits on the coming weekends. What type of stands are you guys sitting in and what do you do to keep from going insane for 11 hours?

I will be doing some all day sits this coming weekend. I usually do it in my bigger ladders and climber. Its really hard to sit that long in a hang on, but I have done it before.

I have been sitting till at least 1 or 2 this year, killed my doe at 1120 am. I have hang ons, not my favorite place in the world but snacks help me get through the day. I am used to hunting from the ground but have been air born this year more.

I do not think I could sit for 11 hours in one stand! I have done 6. I would have to do sit for 4 move to another stand sit for 3 or 4 and move sit for 3 or 4. Seeing how I have seen like 7 deer in about 100 hours of sits this year I might just die of boredom!! Power to you guys who can sit 11 hours wow!

I sit for all day hunts every single time I have hunted. The only time I have left early is if I am lucky enough to get a harvest. O the joys of public land hunting lol.

my elevated blind, i will sit all day, but im not going to get into that........... Thats my have to take all 3 kids with me stand. They can color, sleep, read and play ds, and stay warm. Very hard to do all day sits for me with kids.

I am lucky enough to work from home and can hunt out the back door. So most of the time I get out before and/or after work.

I still could not sit for 11 hours what do you do? How does your back feel? I would need 6 sanwiches and a half dozen drinks, two trips to the head.......a book, ipad... or maybe I just do not have enough deer to keep me occupied!
