Pics of Ground Blinds

How about posting any of your GROUND blind set ups. Would love to see how others set up their blinds. Wether it be simple to the complex.

all mine save one are brush blinds...They all look about the same...some a bit bigger

Since growalot posted the pictures mine are the same some with a little larger tree trunks.I have even found deer bedded down in some.I guess the wanted to get out of the wind.

I just sit against a big tree or rock wall, wearing an orange vest and hat. I try to move as little as possible. I don't have a problem seeing deer.

Shot a few deer from this rock wall blind. Gives me some foot room with a little storage area in the back to keep my chair out of the elements when not hunting. The mice do a number on the chair material but it beats carrying it around.

those are some pretty sweet blinds... I do love hunting from the ground and getting close and personnal with a deer...

yah i, find the adrenaline rush from ground blind hunting to be quite intense. Thats not to say that the heart doesnt get a good beating when in a stand and things come together!

I know its not home made but this was given to me, i have it set up in woods just off the field against some bushes.

I would be too nervous to sit in a blind , it hides the hunter orange as well .

i built a 10ft platform thats 6' x 8' with conventional building materials and set a regular box blind on the top. the box blind is temporary until my buddy and i have the time to build the rest to make it a full blown insulated deer hut with heat. haha

I walked into a ground blind last weekend. state land. I'm walking in pretty deep. about 20 yards from the ground blind I noticed it. SCARED the sh!t out of me. I backed out and ran.

In the third picture, one thing that is not too obvious is the far hill across the valley. It is kind of faded out, but that is where most of the few shots that I heard were coming from. It is kind of interesting to listen to the shots and try to pic out exactly where they came from. It's amazing the mental games you come up with to keep yourself entertained .... lol.

Our house is down at the base of the hill.

Also in the first picture you can see the empty shotgun shell that took my deer last year stuck on a branch stub of one of the stand logs. He came down the hill from behind me. It's usually a great stand, and I have taken quite a few deer from just about every direction there over the years. I have to be looking all the time and in every direction. Wind direction doesn't mean a whole lot there because they come in from any and all directions. Unfortunately this year it was pretty quiet and no one was moving the deer the way they usually do.

I can't wait for this off-season now that I have accsess to a nice chunk of private land. With permission to build ground blinds and what not.

Sure is comfy, as you can tell by the stool, thermos and big bag full of my famous fried egg sandwiches ..... lol. No way for a deer to sneak up on you. And gun rests on three sides. I build these things for all day hunts so comfort and convenience are important.

I like those. FYI I tried some of that blind material this year, looks nice but has a smell to it. Deer winded it right off, had them foot stomping, snorting... and when the light hits it, it acts like a back-lit movie screen. Not good in bright sunlight.
