I went out this morning here at my place and didn't see a thing. Went up to my mother-in-law's place around 11 and didn't see anything. Just finishing up lunch now and getting ready to get back on my stand here til sunset. With three tags left, it looks like I'll be able to make a pretty good deer-tag stew come Wednesday

Went out this morning till 1230 and the woods were dead. I'll hit it again in the morning. The neighbor has been getting some nice deer on his trail cam.

Got in the woods at noon. Huge buck had been posing on my camera from 7 till 10.45.

7:30 this morning, I shot at a doe as it climbed up an embankment of a river at 60 yds. and hit it low in the chest. She went 20 yds. and stood still for about 10 minutes (no follow up shot opportunity) and then bed down.

I watched her for about an hour and she had her head up, but was not moving. I decided to back out and I came back 5 long hours later to find her gone from her bed. I followed the blood trail 30 yds. and there she laid under a fallen tree.

I am sad that I din't make a clean kill, but I am glad that I found her and din't let her go to waste.

Ill be back in the swamp tomorrow looking for "The Monster" and scouting for next years tree stand location.

Rain just killed me plans. I did get my deer this year so it was definitely a great season for me. No complaints. Now, to turn my attention to predators and late season squirrels.
