YFKI1983
Finally picked up my new bow and my bow guy recommended setting my first pin 25 yards and using it for anything 0-30. Thoughts??
Cabin Fever
Pretty much what I do. I have it set for 20 yards, but use it from point blank out to 30. Less confusing in the heat of the moment!
ants
I just have one pin... Its set at 20. I use it the same way Cabin Fever does.
NFA-ADK
I go by 10 yard increments. 20 - 70. 10 yards and less is about a inch high so I compensation. Really depends on what you like... I find judging distance on the fly easer with 10 yard pins. Good luck with your new bow!!!
sweet old bill
I set mine up at 25, 35 and 45 yards. I never had to go to a 2nd pin as would wait for deer to walking the 25 yard kill zone. By the way a research was done and the DEC years ago in the 80's and at that time 90% of deer taken with the bow was under 25 yards.

Doewhacker
I start at 20 and go up, I don't think it really matters as long as you practice from all yardage's and know what your set up will do at each distance.
nybuckboy
Finally picked up my new bow and my bow guy recommended setting my first pin 25 yards and using it for anything 0-30. Thoughts?? I have 1 pin set at 25 yrds. I practice out to 35 and hold just at the top of the back and it drops into the kill zone. 1 pin IMO, Is the way to go for hunting applications.
