Stuffed Venison Backstrap, with gorgonzola, mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, and spinach. I was cleaning up the freezer and was surprised to find this piece in there! Plate presentation is a hot mess, but it was very tasty!

Lol.  I thought that too. My Dad who was a chef used to go off the deep end when one of my cousins used ketchup on a steak. Reminded me of that.

To each their own I guess.  I have A1 in the fridge, but it is to marinate something or maybe on a Swiss, bacon, mushroom burger.

If you need A1 you might as well throw it in the garbage. A great steak or venison needs salt and pepper. NOTHING MORE

I said to Jerkman privately before this post. When I was a chef I’d someone asked for A1 a server was getting hot pans thrown at them

I do like to make a pan sauce sometimes with a little cranberry sauce and red wine, butter for venison straps. But usually just some spices and butter basted in the pan.
