Cabin Fever
Nothing great, but it's the one and only buck I've gotten pics of so far this year! Coming out of a thicket and is ~7 yards from one stand.

G-Man
So your not in a summer bucks range... if you have does the bucks will show up...wait till September... July and august pics are nice ...but nothing beats pics right before the season
dbHunterNY
Yea I don't get too exited unless it's a pic in sept. It's not a bad buck though. Hope you see him.
moog5050
I have come to the same conclusion - what you see now and hunting season are likely different, especially if you have lots of doe and food sources change. Not a bad buck if he hangs around though.

fasteddie
I have had some nice bucks on camera in the past . Once the food source changes , you don't see them in the same place anymore .
wooly
For the most part, the bucks I follow around here all summer wont disappear until some time in November. I DO get excited to hunt the bucks I'm seeing now for a good month during archery season. They may vanish during the rut, but often times re-appear in their core areas before seasons end. Sometimes I never see them again, but when they leave their antlers behind, it's hard to argue they've been there all along or at least come back before it's over. Anyhow, that's a pretty nice buck Cabin Fever. I do however sense a little frustration in your post.... I suppose that's understandable after seeing that buck you had roaming around your property a few years back.
VT Outfitter
Trophy is always in the eye's of the beholder. That is a great buck for his age. Good luck to you this season!
gjs4
Only one pic counts- and trail cams don't take them Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Cabin Fever
Anyhow, that's a pretty nice buck Cabin Fever. I do however sense a little frustration in your post.... I suppose that's understandable after seeing that buck you had roaming around your property a few years back. Well, I guess I'm just puzzled. I have a huge soybean field directly across the road from my property. It's been a dry summer and I have the only pond around for 3/4 of a mile or so. I have great undisturbed thickets/bedding areas. I have cams at on paths heading to the soybeans, my clover plots, and my pond. I have bucks moving through each Sept-Nov., but with the soybeans, clover, and pond, it just makes me wonder why some bucks aren't there year round... Whatever... as long as they show up when it counts!
