Albino Deer

Albino Deer....or at least I think it is. Picture taken yesterday.

 

I'm not saying where it is for its safety (not sure why I think it should not be taken, but I'm just going to stick with it for now here). But it's in Region 8.

Cool pic. I don't think she is albino though, I think albinos have pink or red eyes

Id love to take a white deer. Im not superstitious.

Im thinkin i know where that might be. There have been more than one of them in this area. White deer and piebalds.

I have heard that black squirrels were the normal color variant for the northeast when the pilgrims arrived. And that because of deforestation and hunting the grey became dominant.

I would pass on the albino but piebald I was lucky enough to take one this past fall with the bow.

 I was told long ago that Albino genes are inferior and that they have a poor immune system. I have no idea if this is true. I have seen a few albino deer and a couple piebald deer in my area. I had a client shoot a 5 point buck last year that was piebald. It had white hoofs and a few white spots on the hide. He had it mounted and it looks very cooI. I never have got the opportunity to shoot one, but I have to say that a albino buck would be a great mount to have at home. Does the meat have a vanilla taste? Joking, I'm joking......

Those white deer arent really captive, so you cant say escaped. There are places in the fence they can, and do get through.

Ive seen them jump the fence in places, plus the holes "HUNTERS" cut in the fence they are far from contained lol That looks like a depot deer it has dark eyes, Not pink
