Lawdwaz
Surprisingly I eat very little bacon but I do enjoy it. We probably cook it twice a year, max. My father kept the bacon grease years ago for multiple uses but I bet he hasn't kept it in 40 years! He doesn't eat raw hamburger either............ Pygmy
I use it for two things. Deer liver tastes best fried in bacon fat. Also, on the rare occasions that I make pancakes, I grease the skillet before adding each cake with bacon fat on a paper towel. It seems to lend a better flavor than other shortenings. Doc
Lol .... So what are the most recent recommendations these days about bacon fat and heart health? I always heard that the stuff is an artery choker.

PREDATE
Mix it with bird food put in the freezer a day or two now you have suet. For the birds.Good idea, but does it melt in the sun? As hunters, real suet is not hard to come by and I recommend everyone hang some in their yard.Sent from my SCH-S720C using Tapatalk

wdswtr
I put it in a tin can that sets next to my drill press to lubricate and help cool the drill bits when drilling metal. Works pretty good.
