No chasing yet, seen bucks alone not interested yet in chase...

I have seen a bunch of scrapes pop up and a lot of buck activity. I also heard bucks chasing a group of does when I was out looking for my deer.

Ok I've been hunting a few different areas and have had a few different results

3s. Younger buck starting to chase does scrapes and rubs all over the place I have seen more road kill young bucks and some does as well... I personally feel watching for increase in road kill is a great way to see what they are doing

3n some scrapes and rubs no chasing

3h. I was up there all weekend and Monday saw a few scrapes and rubs but no chasing at all does were still coming in in a big group 10+ at a time.... Younger bucks were coming in to feed before the does and leaving right before they got there... Big boys only seen way before and after legal... I'll be headed up here for this coming weekend hoping things get going quick

Dead... no rutting activity to report with minimal deer movement

As of the past weekend  no bucks and minimal sign of  in 9J . Past few days in 9F, does with no bucks either but more sign,

In 9h, Im seeing more and more sign of scrapes and runs. Just no bucks though and for that matter does too.

Oh, and to the OP, there actually is an entire area for this, the board is called "New York Hunting Regions", and all the WMU's are listed.

9x real good sign showing but does are still alone....

7F…Finally saw a nice mature buck this morning. ( He was in range but  I just couldn't get a stink'n shot @#$%!!). Anyway….he was just walking through. He stopped twice to just give the ground a quick sniff and then just slowly walked off. He payed zero attention to a couple soft grunts I gave him.  Things have to pop anytime now..

I have seen bucks the last two mornings, they are in the seeking mode in my area. Say a above average buck this morning at around 9am just out of range.

One slam dunk shot opp that went horribly awry. 8h.

3N - From what I have heard:

 

Buck rubs everywhere, but not much movement seen at all.

9K nothing moving , 1 lone hen turkey squawking her brains out,  4 hrs in the rain , hoping everything gets dry by 3pm

Obvious doe in estrous followed by 6 different bucks  with nose to ground this am in 8N.  Once rain started, all movement stopped

Hunted 9H (carlton hill) yesterday and 9F (Lancaster) today have seen 1 younger buck moving each day. Both bucks were 6pt and noses to the ground seeking. No shot opportunity

7p. No deer seen tonight for afternoon sit. However drove up from long island and saw 1/2 dozen or so road kills with 2 or 3 with their heads cut off.

Saw a couple rubs and a  fresh scrape up in 4O. Saw a small 5 and some does over the weekend. Got some trail photos of other bucks and a nice 8 just before sun up.

Last night at go time in 9F Big 6 (outside the ears) was chasing a doe. Wehrle and Harris Hill in Lancaster. Slob of a buck, looked like Shane Conlan without a neck.  Watched them for awhile as did 3 other vehicles.

 

Brother in 8G had two small bucks locked up in field in front of his house.

 

Buddy in 9F had a nice buck in his yard with his nose to the ground this morning
