Steuben Shooter
So the corn on my land is FINALLY getting knocked down right now. Would you guys hunt the stand tonight? Farmers said they should be out by 130-2ish. I will not have another chance untill the last night of the season (Sunday). What do you guys think? MACHINIST
Right now is good, anytime really.Ours was cut 3 days before the opener and on that Monday I shot a doe off of the field. If you cant hunt a certain day watch the field for where they are coming into the field. Then I would set up just in the woods there if the wind was good
Renegade Hunter
I agree with G-Man. We have pushed plenty of deer out of corn fields. Get on it!

phade
hunt it...and then hunt it. and then hunt it. Late season corn harvest...hunt it. Might need to look at backing off field a bit if they are waiting until dark/near dark to feed, but it generally attracts a crowd if there is spillage. Chopping is different than cutting however. Chopping looks like a vacuum went over the field and little/no spillage.

Culvercreek hunt club
The property I hunt near home is made up of 3 fields. It was all corn and the fields are right next to one another. two does cam out into one field that was completed while they were still picking in the next field over. about 300 yards. the harvesting operation didn't even bother them at all. Side note. two does got changed to one. one of my hunting partners saw them picking and immediately went into the stand. WNYBuckHunter
A couple of weeks ago my buddy and I were doing a little in season scouting when the farmer fired up the combine. Both of our heads perked up and looked in the same direction.
bowaholic
Guy I'm hunting a lease with is out right now with the combine chopping. The deer are all over there within yards of the wagons and trucks!
genesee_mohican
I'd want to be down wind of the thicket the deer will be coming out of to get that fresh corn. As soon as the equipment pulls out. Once it quiets down a little they will come, unless they have been pressured too much in that area.
