Wild Pigs - A Reminder For All

A thought to remember, Marx said, "Remove one freedom per generation and soon you will have no freedom and no one would have noticed."

There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class.

One day while the class was in the lab, the professor noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt. The professor asked the young man what was the matter.

The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist regime. In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question.

He asked: "Do you know how to catch wild pigs?"

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said that it was no joke. "You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free food. 

"When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence.

"They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side.

"The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat that free corn again. You then slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity."

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening in America. The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare entitlements, medicine, drugs, etc., while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a time.

One should always remember two truths:
There is no such thing as a free lunch, and you can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.

If you see that all of this wonderful government "help" is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to share this with your friends.

God help us all when the gate slams shut!

With the above warning about freedom, ask yourself why the government is giving out all sorts of freebies and then restricting freedom in various ways, the biggest restriction being 2nd Amendment rights.

 

The party of the freebies, taxpayer funded of course, is also the party of gun control.  It's much easier to slam the gate on freedom if nobody can defend themselves.  Little by little the truth slips out.  Why do they mistrust and fear the people if they aren't doing anything to make people want to revolt?

 

Does owning a 30 round mag mean your arming yourself against the government, or is the government trying to make sure you can't fight?

 

Once again the Democrats are pushing this bill.  If you believe the Democrats are not the party of gun control, and everything evil that will come from it, you never will, until it's too late to do anything about it.

Pure Wisdom. I would like to add we must question the government's excuses for their actions because you can easily see the lies they peddle.Like why was the student loan program pirated to the government in Obamacare? Why are the 90% of people who had insurance treated like convicts being ordered to prove we have the right kind of insurance to satisfy big brother then forced to pay double. That/s right, you see it/s not just your rates that went up about 50% but your deductibles went through the roof as did your co-pay. So when I say your rates all in doubled I am probably underestimating by a lot. Think about it, if only 10% were uninsured we could have solved this with a 1% increase and nobody would have complained. So you see it never was about the uninsured.

Job just changed insurance company starting in March.  supposedly to save everyone money and pay taxes on the current insurance plan. 

 

Guess, what the cost is for similar new plan - 400% cost increase to me.  So have to take a lower cost plan with less coverage, for more money than currently pay, with higher prescription costs, find new doctors, and drop dental coverage.  I refuse to work just for health insurance.  After all, one stills needs a place to live, food, clothes, transportation, etc.

 

The doctors insurance rates also sky-rocketed with this.  For them, they will have to spend less time per patient and raise their rates and I am referring to pediatricians and Family Practice doctors, not the specialists.

 

And the next thing they are trying to take over completely is education.  Guess the clock is resetting to the 1700 & 1800's.  Only the wealthy privileged will get good education and can afford to go to a doctor at this rate.

Just heard that the IRS will allow the poor Mexicans who are being given amnesty who did not pay taxes because they worked off the books illegally to file zero retroactive returns and get retroactive earned income credit. If you think about it... most of us would use our guns not only to protect our family, but our country as well... we protect the 2nd amendment because it protects us from those that would take away our freedoms... there would be no reason for anyone to think that we would turn our guns against a government fighting to maintain freedom for its people... unless that government had thoughts of taking away those freedoms from its people. 

 

Understanding that... the only reason a government would try to disarm its citizens would be if they were concerned that the people might turn those guns against the government.. and the only reason they would be concerned would be if they knew something we didn't know... like plans for taking those freedoms from the people.

 

Deep.. HUH? Might take a bit to understand what I just said.

I really don't believe our government ever intended to take all of our freedoms.  I believe it put the country in an irreversible debt spiral by constantly voting benevolent use of our tax dollars to buy votes from the constituents of the two political parties that want only to retain power.  For about two decades, our government has extrapolated possible future outcomes of their decisions and the one that keeps coming up in all of their economic models is an economic collapse.

 

Right now, all of the issues the mass media directs our attention to is diversion.  This lap dog of the government is charged with grabbing the attention of the masses and distracting them with government created issues like climate change, illegal immigration, measles, gay marriage and the like, to redirect their attention from the real threat looming on the horizon.

 

So, it begins to plan for an economic collapse.  When the dollar becomes worthless, banks will be ordered to close.  Then there will be chaos.  That will require the government to declare Martial Law.  When that happens, all of our Constitutional rights will be suspended and all people will be subject to any and all orders from the government and military personnel.  That's when the gate will slam shut on our freedoms.

 

In preparation for the possible economic collapse, all 2nd Amendment rights have to be minimized, or eliminated, as much as possible right now, without starting a revolt.  It's being done in the name of crime reduction, when all evidence points to it having no impact on reducing crime at all.  The government doesn't fear armed insurrection because it will win.  It just doesn't want a lot of their agents to be killed under Martial Law by people who refuse to comply.

 

It is just now, we are starting to hear some of the useful idiots of the government starting to admit they want large capacity magazines banned because anyone who owns them is "arming against the government".  Only an untrustworthy government would ever think that is the case.  In the past, our government sought the help of citizens when it was battling and enemy.  It has to disarm the citizens when it knows in this battle, it will be the enemy.

 

If you believe the government is not capable of the above scenario, you have to ask yourself why we see constant tax increases and all sorts of infringements on rights and liberties going on.  The answer is, because the government has compromised it's power and authority and fears losing control, as happens in many third world countries and banana republics all the time.  Today we see it happening in Greece and maybe spreading to a number of EU nations soon.  The biggest threat to any government is loss of power and control.

 

When power and control is almost lost, the government will do whatever is needed to retain it, because the most important thing any government requires, and will never surrender, is power and control.

Moog, I said tell me it aint true and I stand corrected. I have to add to the general conversation that we make a mistake when we don't assign malevolent intent to this administration. He did say he was going to fundamentally transform 

 us and he did. He has rendered our laws meaningless subject to his whim of enforcing or not. He has hijacked our medical system in order to fulfill his wishes of income redistribution. He allowed a third rate terrorist group to become a major force with benign neglect. Obama was raised by foreigners who resent or hate this country and the west in general. He lived in Indonesia as a Muslim for his formative childhood years. I understand his feelings. I don't understand his entire party allowing him to fulfill his dreams nor the people who voted for him, especially the second time. Duh!

Take this example about rights from Chris Cuomo:

They come from man," Cuomo insisted. Later he added, "That's your faith, that's my faith, but that's not our country. Our laws come from collective agreement and compromise." What utter hogwash. As Moore aptly noted, the Declaration of Independence is the law of the land, and it begins, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed..." But Cuomo isn't just mistaken. He and his deceased father, Mario, and his brother Andrew, former and current governors of New York, hold a typical leftist view that government and not God creates rights. Therefore, those rights are subject to the whims of politicians because, as Chris Cuomo insisted, "Times change. Definitions change." Such views are dangerous and completely antithetical to the foundation of our country.

According to the Cuomo's, the governments of North Korea and other totalitarian states, are just as valid and acceptable as other formats of rule. They obviously don't extrapolate their own thoughts out to their logical conclusions....or do they?

They certainly do.  When they say these things, they are are just giving cues to their mindless followers.  

 

Once the leaders of dedicated progressives say something, it is immediately adopted by their followers and promoted as truth from then on, regardless of it's absurdity.  It keeps the flock in line while providing talking points for them to memorize.
