WNY Bowhunter
Anyone know anything about this monster? My uncle forwarded me this pic today. The message was originally sent by someone with a DEC email address and was fowarded through several other people with DEC emails too. The only info given was...shot on w. scott rd yesterday morning by mike mcmahan's son in law. green score 209. It's sounds like it was taken this past weekend (12/11) in Cortland County near Factory Brook. I don't know if it's legit or not; I can't see any of writing on the tag...looks blank to me? Pictures are here: http://huntingny.com/forums/index.php/topic,2845.msg33568.html#msg33568

Culvercreek hunt club
I bet you that is a 24-25" inside spread all day
WNY Bowhunter
If it's legit and not just internet propaganda, this has got to be the most impressive NY deer that I've ever seen. I still don't know what to make of the blank looking tag though? Hopefully, more details will come leaking out soon...
Culvercreek hunt club
aI saw that too but could be just the reflection and angle it is at. There have just been some reall slammers taken this year. This one tops the cake. Probably is a NY buck though....the cycle sticker is from a shop in Homer NY
WNY Bowhunter
Really. That's a step in the right direction cause that's where this deer was supposed to have been taken...

phade
Stud! One constant I've heard in my discussions from around the state is that cNY is having a banner year.

WNY Bowhunter
Just emailed one of the DEC people that seemed to know the most about this deer in the message that was forwarded to me. Hopefully, he'll respond with some concrete evidence.
First-light
It's amazing he almost made another year. A true king in any state! Just guessing by the looks of the bullet hole(if it's a bullet hole) but it's a bit high in the back, looks to be from a tree stand. He must of looked awesome in the woods. Taz1300
Deffinately a New York Truck. Stupid Choppers is a local bike builder. And the McMahon Farm is right there on Route 281 and Cold Brook rd. in Homer, just a hop, skip, and a jump from W. Scott rd.
cloke
Dominant buck of the whole NY state! The potential ny has only if they had some type of AR.
nyantler
Its legit, and I hope to have the story soon... met a friend of the guy at the butcher today. The guys at the Big Buck Club have passed around the pic. It hasn't been scored by an official measurer yet... and I'm guessing the score isn't 209 by looking at the rack. the fact that it's a 12 point frame will push it up there, but its not a 200 class buck. But, so far looks to be the biggest typical this year in NY. What a BEAUTY!
nyantler
well at least not 200 net.. but man after seeing this pic of it I'm second guessing myself... I still guess below 200 net though.. i'm gonna say more like high 180's
nyantler
Milo hansons buck scores 213-

erussell
it has quite a few deductions, I would guess around 180 also
wjay1552
was shown a pic of this buck the other day. The story i was told it was over 200 and in the homer area like u said. The guy that showed me the pic has a buddy who shot a monster in the lisle area a couple weeks ago that was estimated in the 180s and like a 21 point. The thing tying the two bucks together, believe or not the two hunters are cousins or so im told
WNY Bowhunter
Thanks for the update Joe! I agree that he won't net 200 but he's still one heck of a deer for anywhere across the whitetail's range...let alone NY.
HectorBuckBuster
That is a awesome deer. Well who needs AR in NY with all the huge bucks taken this year. I am thinking the early snow helped take down alot of these big boys this year.
