Got in the stand about 345 and had my big guy sneak in. He stayed on the outside and only gave me 1 shot to wait for at 40yd and he ducked the arrow. Hoping he comes back through cause he ran 20yds and looked back and stood for what felt like forever before just walking away. :-( 1st yr bow hunting. 1st shot and 1st miss

Finally in my ground blind had a 20 yard stand off with. A tiny doe on my way in lasted 15 min or so just not ready to burn a tag on something that small yet! attachicon.gifImageUploadedByTapatalk1443821640.105246.jpgattachicon.gifImageUploadedByTapatalk1443821654.970857.jpgattachicon.gifImageUploadedByTapatalk1443821665.626450.jpg

Nice and dry I presume

Another excellent short evening sit. I used my new Knight and Hale Pack Rack Deer Call for the first time. To be honest I was not overly impressed with the sounds it makes. They are not very loud. In any case, a young 6 pointer came in. I had also dragged some scent in and that seemed to have his attention. He gave me a 25 yard broadside but he is not the Deer I am looking for right now.

Some doe cruised by a little later too. I have seen more deer in the first 2 days, than all of last years Bow season combined. Great and promising start. I sat in a stand I haven't been near all summer. 2 giant rubs about 10 yards in front of it. It will be my morning stand tomorrow, for sure.

2015 is looking good so far.

Had a really big bodied spike milling around from 40 -20 yards upwind from me while i was taking a slow walk . I could have drawn on him many times but decided it was too early in the season to use my tag , i have to get at least one hunt in with my dad.

Lol, I know I know .... I used to criticize people who used those things in public , but hey, takes one hell of a good woods photo ! Especially when your by yourself and want a pic with your deer on the phone to show your buddies who are still on stand...
