At around 7am I get a text from my trail cam by my other stand, a nice plump doe. Haven't seen diddly squat at the stand I chose for today yet. Fingers crossed for something.

Went back to retrieve my arrow from yesterday evening. Had a couple of deer crunching through the area. They didn't even notice me. A small buck and the other I could only hear. Anyway, ranged the shot from last night. I had guessed it as being about 20 yards. It was somewhere between 22 and 25. So, not only a biggest archery record for me, but also my longest bow shot to-date. A twofer!

Just too warm for me today...bad enough fighting the flies some how getting into my house let alone having to worry about a possible long track and then gutting and processing with them every where...75 with 59 at night today..no thanks...I'll finish trails very little to do and cut that rose out of the swamp stand wash some windows and maybe grease the disc for winter...last cup of coffe first though...

Was just ready to go from field to brush and hop into stand , when I saw a deer chasing another on top of this hill! Good start. Other than that only one unknown behind me a bit ago.

Edit 8:45 decent looks like a 2 1/2 slipped through at. 50 yards,just the type we want to let live, yet if he gives me an easy shot....

It would not bother the deer in my area

I have seen deer come through 10 minutes after a coyote

And they get howling every time the fire whistle blows

I researched the tick spray that you put on your clothes. It appears to be very effective, survives multiple washes, and has been studied for military use and is considered safe for regular military use, which is something like daily wear for 10-20 years, something along those lines. It's on amazon. Supposedly the ticks just die like mad on your clothing. Still need to check inside, but it's much more effective than normal skin sprays.
