zeus1gdsm
I don't know if anyone is on Facebook. But the above is a group on there you can follow and people send in their harvest pics... Been real slow since bow opened. And it seems that over the past week I'm seeing 3_5 new harvests a day loaded up... Mostly bucks... They list method. Weight points and location typically... Cool to see the variety of large bucks taken in the different counties. Nice break from all the drivel on there... If it wasn't for family I sure as heck wouldn't have Facebook. genesee_mohican
It is a great site. Good job nyantler. It's really a great resource, you'll see buck kills on there that you never would have know were taken. I check it quite often.

Trial153
Yeah.. I post 'em just as they send them to me... not many come in with scores any more. Are you a measurer..Yes I figured that someone posts them the way they are submitted. Not casting blame to anyone on the site at all.I just think it funny when someone posts a score with a 110 buck and the list it at 133 for example. It's one of those things were its not needed. A 100 buck is good buck most places in NY ....so just post it and smile, no need to inflate. I am not an official measurer however I have measured my share and can field judge pretty decent. A few of the places I have hunted regularly field judging is critical because of the imposed rules. Any event keep up the good work. I enjoy the site. G-Man
I am always amazed at the deer that come off non ar areas that get posted... haven't really seen those ar areas in ny post some big ones and it's been a few years now... looks like some people just do management voluntarily pretty well with out mandates...

We have a ton of pressure

More and more good bucks coming in from Ulster and Greene Counties than ever before... I believe they are in the AR area. WNY seems to be the hot spot however

I think some of the guys try to measure their own and really dont know what or how to measure. Had one guy that was measuring the tip to tip of the beam measurement and adding it to the score... I gave up trying to tell hunters not to post a score unless its offficial... they just open themselves up to scrutiny. Usually when I think there is a huge discrepancy with the score I leave it out of the post.. it saves everyone from the barrage of nay-sayers.

zeus1gdsm
Didn't realize it was your gig nyantler... Happy to do a free plug Is it really so hard to Google how to measure and then apply it conservatively? BellR
Is it really so hard to Google how to measure and then apply it conservatively? Just a thought, but most of the guys who care about measuring aren't going to be conservative since they seem to care more about the numbers than the deer itself. I know there are a few hunters who are more about the hunt that measure, but a LOT of hunters I know that talk about scores really only care about the trophy.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I honestly can't remember any Putnam Co. buck ever making the book... or seeing a pic of a slammer from Putnam. I know nothing about the county so I don't know why that is.
Carbonelement
i know of plenty of slammers that come from putnam each year
BizCT
My dad has a few 120s and I've seen pics of other guys with 120s - 130s, but never seen a valid pic of 140s or bigger buck out of 3N. Carbon - define "slammers" that are taken ever year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited November 4, 2015 by Biz-R-OWorld
