Buck found in a field right by my property.

Another one that went off and died. Found right in the middle of a field, too bad he looked real nice. Broken off one side. Good rabbit hunting by me, boys did this in a couple of hours.

Maybe shot at night by poachers who took off?

lol everyones so fast to say people showed lack of following up on a deer or  poachers... it is possible it was just an iffy shot and the deer ran off as they tend to do after being shot. unfortuantly there is probobly a huge percentage each year for lost deer. this stuff does happen...

Yes sir! Yea you couldn't tell with what was left on the deer. I know of one wounded buck about his size that was never found, it was tracked in the total opposite direction though.

That's sure too bad! I found a gut shot doe that someone lost ~50 yards from one of my treestands 2 weeks ago. If the shot was ~2" lower, it would have missed her.

Congrats on the bunnies though!!

I know that farmers find deer deceased while harvesting their corn.  That is true more so, when the harvest is late into shotgun.  If I shoot at one and lose it, it makes me sick. I'll spend hours out looking till I can rest my mind, one way or the other. I think every deer hunter knows, in archery or gun, that the risk is there.

Actually those bunnies were caught taking a nap after a meat eating feast! That poor deer didn't stand a chance! They go right for the neck!

I have to try hunting bunnies more often if thats where the deer are hanging out.Damn shame nice looking deer.Nice going on the bunnies I can taste,em from here.

So far, I've found the remains of 2 dead buttonbucks and also a doe fawn on a farm where I shed hunt.  I wouldn't mind coming across a nice buck or two.  Congrats on the pile of cottontails!
