Ive never been much for craft beers and such.always stuck with genny or molson.with all the variety i see on posts i wouldnt mind trying.but where do i start is the problem haha.local wegmans i was at today in chili,ny has a make ur own craft 6pk.may be what ill have to do.try a little of everything

I'm here for your assistance lol. Lagers aren't my thing but surely can walk you thru all the other styles Our Wegmans has some decent selections in build your 6

I haven't had nearly as many as TF but he got me started on pick 6's which created my obsession and now I can help out too. Just did a pick 6 today for my "big game" selection. Ask any questions you'd like. 

Just have an open mind, cuz some selections will suck and others will be fantastic. Use this thread and pick some the others have posted to try. We will steer you in the right direction if needed.

While you're at Wegans getting you mix 6, pick up a 4 pack of Genny's brew house's Winter warmer, I really like it reminds me of Dogdish Heads raison d'etre , caution it's 9%. 

IPA is all the rage today , however I'm not a big fan of IPA, for some reason though I like double IPA, keeping with Rochester Brewers try Rohrbach Space Kitty .

Founders are almost always in build a six section. They offer all styles to try. Also a very good brewery so less chance of getting a "dog" of that style. Check dates if grabbing IPA's. If more than say 2 months old stay away. The hops will fall off and you won't get the full effect of how that beer is supposed to be represented. Some date codes are purely that , codes and I can't decipher them lol. Bought a sixer of Ithaca Flower Power at a podunk gas station a few months ago. No kick in the teeth hoppiness or floral notes. Just a good ole lager Betting the PBR , Genny was fresh as better sell thru out in the sticks lol. Should have known better. Southern Tier and Ellicotteville brewing put out a wide variety of good beer too. Have fun with experimentation You can always Google ex : Ithaca flower power beeradvocate for rating , style , abv % etc. Beeradvocate is very handy for research Used to do a bunch of trading with people on there for stuff I couldn't get in this market and them from here.

Ha ha, know the feeling . Last night I'm at work , daughter calls, no,hot water.

i say go in basement and look at tank, she says but I'm just wrapped in a towel ! Um ok but there's no one that will see you. See get annoyed . Ok call wife who's also,home , she goes down , tank is leaking . I try to talk her though shutting down unti and supply line , she get annoyed ....

Finnaly she just wants to shut down main, ok the meter is above sump. 3 times she says there's no meter there ... It has numbers on top looks like your odometer, ok found it , how do,it shut it off?

do you see the plainter taper with marker writing on it ? Oh ok .

The tells me to simmer down ...

heres a pic, I needed a beer but was at work.

That was my grandparents favorite eatery RIP. Heard it's under new owners since I've been there last.
