Lawdwaz
I don't know about your pooch but my old girl can only stand 5-10 minutes MAX in these temps before she starts limping badly. Sometimes she looks like she's going down........I quickly get her back into the house and she is good. It kills me because she just loves to be outside, especially when I'm out monkeying around. Tough watching them get old............ So, keep an eye on your pups, this weather is brutal on them.
mlammerhirt
We have a 6 year old lap dog(toy poodle) she still thinks she is a young girl and refuses to come inside after doing her business so we have to keep a watch and shag her butt inside. I also shovel the concrete pad and some grass for her. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

RoadKill44
I have two pups. I let them out three times a day for nature breaks. Normally I have to call then 2 or 3 times to get them to come back in. This morning they did there business and ran back to the door immediately. Paula
I had to go out and pick up Chester he couldn't make it. The puppy is still to dumb to know better, have to force him in.
growalot
Our boys are outside dogs...their house 8'x12' has three connecting compartments, staggered door ways. We store all their shavings and straw on lower shelves to insulate and retain heat lower to their bedding area..the outside run is completely wrapped in heavy tarps,7' to block winds on their north wall and the inside walls are insulated. The entire thing sits 2' off the ground....They are packed in several bales of straw with winter coats. Warm water twice daily with their food. Never had an issue ...even last year...To bring them indoors would be worse for them in the long run due to their conditioning....
Jeremy K
Rupert is only good for about 5 minutes when temp. gets down this low. Eventually he will lay on his back and stick his feet in the air.
Zem18
"Ciara" would sit out there all day if we let her. She loves it!! Pic from a few weeks ago
Doewhacker
Our two fuzzy dogs don't mind the cold but the Fench Bulldog needs a sweater inside on chilly days so days like this are not her favorite.
Nomad
Its got by be about 85 where he's been laying all day. If a diaper would fit him, I doubt he'd go outside at all today !

Critter4321
My old dog cannot stand it more then five minutes, the pup on the other hand comes in and wants to go back out after 10 minutes the only problem is she hates to be out by herself so she sets by the front door gives me smiles and dumb looks until I put my coat on and go out with her and play. Damn its cold!!
Pygmy
Trust me.... We OLD DOGS cannot tolerate the bitter cold as well as we once could... Just one item on a LONG LIST of things we can't do as well as we used to. Edited February 13, 2016 by Pygmy
DirtTime
I have a pure bred Siberian Husky, usually she loves the cold but, today I would take her out and when she was done she was pulling me back inside.
ants
I let my lab out today, he's 8. He wasn't out there 10 mins when I heard him barking to come in. He normally will stay out a half hour or so, just checking things out and doing his business. When I went to let him in he was sitting at the slider lifting his front leg like his paw was freezing.. ..Poor guy
16. ga hunter
My cocker would stay out if I let her she looks like a wooly beast right now though. The pug Shepard mix can't do her business fast enough and would just assume stay inside Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Deerthug
Milo hates going out in the cold to do his business. This is his favorite spot. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2
growalot
Is that a Vermont castings soap stone in the background? If so ,how do you like it...We have one in storage. Edited February 14, 2016 by growalot
Deerthug
It's actually a Hearthstone with soap stone. I had an old VC Resolute acclaim cast iron one for 22 years until it got too old to repair. I got this one last April. Takes a bit longer to get hot but once it does the stone stays hot for hours after wards. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2

babyt
My beagles chased a cotton tail all over the back 40 at ten below today. As long as they're moving they're good but they can't stand the cold if they are out for just doing their business.
