Rattler
Id beg to differ. Ron Paul received more donations from active military personnel in his 2012 run for president than all other candidates combined. I think that holds some weight. What makes you say that they don't care tho? Im curious as to why you think that. But where in the video does he offer a solution to illegals and an open border? Besides 2012 was almost 5 years ago now. Where's his outrage today? I say they don't care because all they are doing is criticizing a wall, yet offer no real solutions to a wall. There are solutions, like deportation, cutting off freebies totally, arrest, incarceration and huge fines for employers of illegals. Nobody in the videos, or in public for that matter, is standing up for any of that.
diplomat019
The French Maginot Line of the 1930s was just as impressive and far more complex than a mere wall: Nice compound. But I'm not envious of anything france has to offer lol. I like the top description "village men defend fort". I wonder if the germans took notice of them lol??? Rattler
BTW I'm talking about the 1st Ron Paul video you posted. What he said almost 10 years ago doesn't seem to be the way he feels now.
Rattler
Also, Joe Wilson was right when he called Obama a liar for saying illegals won't get free Obamacare, because they do, and Obama is actually demanding it in one state now. If these people are really against illegals, why is nobody stopping Obama? Edited June 5, 2016 by Rattler

greg54
I guess we should get used to calling this country the United States of Mexico.
Nomad
I have no solution, yet I chuckle , I worry when crossing get into Canada , will my NRA sticker cause a search ? Is there a loose .22 or shotgun shell rolling around in my trunk ? Yet on the southern " boarder" it's catch and release of criminals coming across, and the don't catch many to begin with.
ants
The last time I crossed into Canada, the Canadian boarder agent was the biggest prick on the planet. Rude, arrogant and talking down to me….If my wife and kids weren't with me it would have been an International incident. I still remember that little man syndrome, prick, douche face. I wanted to snap his little ginger kid neck!!! If the same thing happened here, to a Mexican, I think it would also be an international incident, but of a different kind. diplomat019
Im all in favor of people who want a wall to be built to donate their hard earned money for it. Im good with my taxes already. They're already being used frivolously . Ill also pass on a wall that has snipers on it. Nobody wants a gun registry in this country because it could be a double edge sword, where the good intentions are possibly used for bad. But you are ok with a wall with snipers that won't let anyone in or out. Sounds like a martial law wet dream.

Ford
What most people don't understand is that you do not need a wall along the entire border. There are many places where it is totally unnecessary, due to many factors, such as accessibility, or the fact that it is easily monitored by BP. A good wall in some areas, along with the BP, sensors, etc., would be a vast improvement. Some walls/fences are already there and could be improved. (see video) The BP has about 25,000 Agents. But some are on the northern border, some patrol the waterways, and some are on their day off. I am guessing on any particular day there are 10,000 Agents on duty at the southern border, but probably less. Had to edit, There must be a lot less Agents then that on duty at one time. You have to consider court time, training, and vacations. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLVdi14ECCc Edited June 6, 2016 by Ford
pt0217
Diplomat. Am I right? You don't want a wall? Why not? Our country is being invaded by an enemy. It all needs to be stopped. Not only do we need a wall, we need to go after any politician that refuses to enforce our immigration laws. They need to treated as traitors. Please look at what is going on here. Look at what is happening at these riots outside the Trump rallies. They are attacking Americans for exercising their rights. These people that are coming to this country are not coming here to be patriotic Americans. They are coming here to bleed us of everything that Americans have worked for and died for. If we don't do something, anything, to stop it, our country is done.
G-Man
You don't need a wall the entire distance, in places yes In others more patrol agents. Heck I sure we have land mines around someplace.. as for cost, round up illegals and have them do the labor..

If we don't do something, anything, to stop it, our country is done. Im not in favor if a wall. It will be a burden in the taxpayers once again. just cause im not in favor if a wall doesn't mean i am happy with our current situation. But you gave some good points in your response that would curb illegals. How about we start enforcing our laws already!!! Lol. Thats where we could start. Also look at why people are coming. If we didn't incentivize them they wouldnt come illegally. Hit them in their pockets and we solve the problem. But we have politicians who pander to illegals for votes yet on the other side we have farmers who hire illegals to save a buck. Lets heavily fine those who knowingly hire illegals. and the people whonare already here illegally we need to make them taxpayers. Nobody is getting rid of them and thats the reality if the situation. but the laws in place need To be enforced and we can no longer incentivize illegal aliens.
diplomat019
You don't need a wall the entire distance, in places yes In others more patrol agents.... Yes. but we have tropps spread out all over the world lrotecting other countries borders. Lets bring them hom and put them on OUR border if need be. We also have walls up. How are they working? Not good by the looks of this post lol. So mYbe a wall is t the andwer since we already tried that......
pt0217
The money collected from the fines could go to increased enforcement.
Uptown Redneck
Simple reason America will never solve illegal immigration, Democrats want thier votes and Republicans the cheap labor they simply. Its a win-win for both sides with very little downside. As long as those who hire illegal immigrants suffer no penalties they will keep doing so enticing the illegals to keep on crossing the border.
