Here in Ontario County, I will believe the rifle bill when it gets passed. I have never seen anything get so screwed up so many times, and in so many different ways. Is this the time that they finally get it done? ..... we'll see. ::D

I hope so Doc, it will be nice to step out of my back door with my 30-30 in hand.

I don't have a good deer rifle yet and probably will not get one until I actually  hear that the Governor has signed the bill. This bill has been such a fiasco and has been a "done deal" so many times and yet here we are still talking about how it might actually get the final vote and signature.

I'm not sure what caliber I will be getting if or when this thing finally gets actually signed. I was thinking .243 but now am leaning toward a .270 .

Or lease land is split by Broome and Tioga county. Tioga is rifle...Broome is SG. I believe because of Binghamton. That one is like one of the few southern tier counties left as SG. Would like to see that one go rifle as well but have not heard any grumblings of it. Anyone hear anything about Livingston up to 20A again?

Geepers....I can't imagine having to use a SG only for deer. Not putting it down in any way ,shape or form now. Just saying, seems it would make the cheese more binding ,in a way. To me personally,it's the same as ML.....only you(ML) can't(re-) load as fast. LOL Seems like a good challenge.

I must admit when I first read the title of this thread I thought it was about someone's nickname.

I think it should be about choice, I mean you can't use a firearm within such proximity to a dwelling anyway. Good luck, keep your finger crossed but remember this is the land of potato head liberal politicians.
