That deer won't go anywhere between now and October 1st....I'd have a stand right in that area and knock him down early! The easiest time to shoot these bucks now is the early opener.  They are still in their summer routine.....all they do is eat, drink and sleep.  The ladies don't have them running around silly!

There is a tower 25 feet behind this cam and a ladder stand straight out about 70 yards out of site.

 

I keep looking at the pics and angles and I can't see how he would be less than 22 inches. I hope I get to find out up close and personal!!

I am getting nervous, I pulled cards and he has not been around in over a week. He did pick up a new friend who has a funky rack. Looks like a 6x2.

Not in this spot. I have rarely had a quality buck show up regularily.

 

Now a mile across town in my second spot I usually have one or two pop up on cam occasionally.
