I think the whitish color comes from it having dried out. But it looks fairly fresh.

Did you look at the coyote crap pictured on that site? Even the bobcat scat is similar. There are no Mountain Lions in NY.

Yes I did, except for the fact that the picture provided by BurmJohn in this thread is identical to the Mountain Lion scat. And there are plenty of I witnesses that would swear there are Mountian Lions in New York. I am skeptical, but willing to leave this door open.
