Threw out the last of my Copenhagen, all spitters are gone from the car and the various stash spots in the house.

Been chewing since I’m 16 or so with intermittent stops. Not sure what drove me to stop this time but feeling pretty committed although today was not easy. I figure if I just don’t buy a tin I’m good. Crazy how much I thought about buying a tin today-addiction (regardless of to what) is a strange and powerful thing.

Hey man, good for you!

I've pretty much quit smoking cigars after 40 years.  Not daily but very often..........

In late July for no particular reason (other than the most obvious) I just had had enough.  Since then  two times I've had a cigar and didn't really enjoy them.  I guess I'm done???

:drinks: Here's to you crappyice!

I chewed for 20 years, then started umpiring college baseball and it is forbidden to have tobacco products on the college campuses.
I went cold turkey 15 years ago, best decision I ever made.

If you need some support feel free to pm me, I will lend an ear or suggestions or whatever helps to kick it.
Your loved ones will appreciate it as well

Stick it out sir ,  my oldest brother was a chewer for many years and the hell he just had to endure because he developed esophageal cancer was not pleasant.

The doctors removed part of his esophagus and his stomachic  bringing what was left up and reattaching it , only to have what was left die and now he has no esophagus or stomachic and is being fed by a tube, the biggest thing that’s bothering him is not having any food  or drink now for over a month.

You can do this , it’s worth it. And myself I used to smoke and chew and gave it up many years ago..

Its totally worth it, in the end if your not doing it for yourself at least think about the people around you.... I just gave up smoking cigarettes, can't tell you how many times I've tried quitting, hopefully this time sticks for you. The true test will come this spring when I pick back up with the fishing. For whatever reason fishing and smoking go hand in hand for me. After a month in I do feel better, give it some time you'll start feeling better both mentally and physically, good luck to ya!

Good deal,

An additional point that helped me immensely is I figured up how much I was spending in a month. Then calculated how long it would take me to save enough money to purchase the new firearm I wanted. With that goal in mind it made it very easy to quit because I could see a light at the end of the tunnel, and it wasn't a train coming the other way.

Let's just say it made increasing my collection much more enjoyable.
