have you used that on gear? not sure what inert ingredients are in it and if they effect your clothes. the use guide just says use chemical resistant clothing, gloves, etc. when applying it to other stuff.

Bought it last summer and used it on all my hunting clothes. Sprayed all my camo, blaze orange, pack, cushion, gloves, hats, hand warmer, everything I could think of with no adverse effects, ticks, or damage.

Didn't kill  a deer either last year so that may of had something to do with it.:scratchhead:

Just talked to a pharmacist friend. He said, hell yes to treating and suggested I keep pills around for every time I'm bitten.

He sees no downside to repeated doses.

there's been confusion and confict i know regarding long term lower dose. consensus is don't do that and if it's needed give it right to ya as needed in a higher dose over a relatively shorter period of time. what i've been told.

You can offset the cost by going to tractor supply and buying this for about $8.00 It will make 1-2 gallons. Sawyers is only 0.5% Permethrin  so this will go a long ways.

What's critical is the % when mixed to final usable dilution.

I believe the application is good for 30 days or 3 or 4 washings.....it’s not a treat it forever type of thing.  Check the label.

Side note: I have heard that chickens are the best tick killer out there.

I was out collecting some cottonwood bark yesterday for carving and filled my back pack with the stuff.

When I got home and changed into my shorts and a t-shirt I could feel something crawling all over my bare skin.

Picked 3 of the little suckers off of my neck and legs as they were looking for someplace dark and hairy to hunker down.

Thankfully I'm a small and smooth guy, and I don't have too many good hiding places for them to go un-noticed.

I never really had to keep an eye out for them until recent years.

I went fly fishing in catskill creek  in oak hill and didn't spray my stuff down with sawyers or spray myself with deep woods off and when I got home I got a tick on the back of my left arm . I went turkey hunting this week and sprayed all my stuff down my mask[ I HATE camo paint],hats. gloves. my camo outfit.socks and all my shirts that I intended to wear. now its warmer I will not take a chance.
