WD40 is a poor lubrication. Before you sacrifice me to the dogs, and call me bad names , hear me out. WD40 is NOT intended to be a lubricant as all it actually does is displace moisture. It does however have a slight lubricity to it. However, PB blaster lubricant is a better choice IMO or anything silicone based.

I use WD40 on my truck door hinges when they get squeaky ...poor choice, but they quiet instantly. I have 2 kinds of actual lubricant that function as intended, 1 is an oil squirt can and the other is PB Blaster spray lube.

now I seen I think roland martin use wd40 on his lures ,but wow  my wife and me are almost 60 we have to try this makes old tools like new again[hey cheaper than Viagra,tools slide in and out ,lubicate dry passageways[ hey who need foreplay]and makes screwing a pleasure[ well homedepot here I come]

I really thought you meant the regular WD40 at the time of my post. Since then I have seen for the first time in my life, that WD40 has some other serious spray lubricants I never thought existed. My apologies. Silicone base would be my best answer in this case.
