Cutting Board Material

Does anyone know where I can order a large plastic cutting board material that I can customize to a counter top? I wanted to build a make shift cutting board on construction horses or to throw on and off my work bench.

Polypropylene is what you want.

Any plastics supplier can sell you sheet goods. Want to save money, buy thin like 1/4" and laminate it it to some plywood.

Don't know where you travel, but across the Hudson in W. Nyack is where I buy materials at Plasic-Craft, good folks.

I'll throw a wrinkle in your thought process but what about getting a piece of Corian? If you can get your hands on the defect pieces they can be had at a decent price or if you know any construction guys perhaps they might be doing a remodel and throwing some out? 

I saved a 36"x24" piece from our kitchen remodel and now use it as our cutting board.

I have used this company a few times before... They have what you need... prices were not too bad either.  They will cut to size also.

I use a few full size cutting boards screwed down to some 2-4s.

My dad has a 8/9 foot long cutting board that my uncle came home with from a job site years ago. I prefer my set up because it’s easy to store, clean up and move around.

Kitchen sink cut outs are PERFECT cutting board size.

the sausage maker and lem has them plastic food grade cutting boards but its best to google sausage making  and meat processing supplies and a lot will pop up if I get a chance i'll post a link

In germany the butchers are moving towards wood again,it stays cleaner than plastic. Those little cuts in the plastic are hiding spots and hard to clean.

I have a sink sized piece of corian you can have. Just come and get it.

I ended up making one last year. I wanted something for small game, waterfowl, and deer. The wife got tired of me making a mess in the kitchen so I ended up making one. It's 2x3 and made of 1/2 plywood that I sanded and sealed over a 2x2 frame. It's the perfect size because I can move it and store it easily, it's solid and fits and entire deer quarter, and cleans up easily.
