fasteddie
I still havn't recovered from my medical problem and havn't gotten my strength back . It was all I could do to pull my 60# bow and shoot 2 arrows . I don't want to drop the poundage if I don't have to . Got out the Stretch Bands and will work out with them . Still not totally steady walking without a cane for balance . I WILL be in the woods with my bow before gun season !

phade
Keep at it but I would really consider turning down the poundage. Lots of people pull lower weight and you sir shouldn't have any reservations about it unless its a personal challenge to overcome. Do you have an xbow and will you use one? First-light
Keep at it Eddie. I hope soon the sun shines on your face from your favorite deer stand. Please stay on the ground until you are 100%.
mowin
I can no longer pull back 60 lbs. My bow is set at 42#. I keep my shots at 25yrds or less. Have no prob putting a deer down with that poundage.
BowmanMike
Hey Eddie,i shoot only 55# and am a fairly strong 46 year old. I think the small cams on my bow are making it hard to pull,i shot 70# ones that fely no harder to pull back. I don't want to get caught in the cold not being able to draw back when i have to. I think you should turn the # down and work your way back up,but that's just my opinion. Good luck to you,i hope you can make it happen. grampy
Good to hear you're slowly getting better Eddie. And I really admire your grit and tenacity. Good for you! I'm down to just over 50lbs on my old bow. Still got a pass through on the buck I killed last year. I don't think he would have noticed if I was pulling 60 lbs. Wishing you the very best of luck, when you get out there sir.
Nomad
“pulling “ for you Eddie . My bow has been down to 50# for a few years, now having trouble with that , I’d think if you can shoot a couple at 60, 50 would be much easier . I’ d turn mine down lower if I could ...... New bow next year for me .

DirtTime
You'll get there eddie! Of all the folks on this site, you deserve to kill whatever deer you choose when you do get out! Hoping it's a huge 14 point for what you have been through!
