BKhunter
Got a bad hit in a deer about an hour ago bumped him as I though he expired in the field but wasn’t the case. Do you think the meat will spoil over night? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ncountry
Not likely. Short answer.

grampy
It will be cool enough tonight. No problem. Give it plenty of time to bed and die. That's where you'll find it. Best of luck with recovery! Edited October 5, 2019 by grampy
BowmanMike
definetely won't spoil if he doesn't die for a while.
Chef
Meat will be fine, maybe a little tough and more gamey but fine. I find that the cleaner the killThe better the meat Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Core
Probably not but fwiw in my limited experience (and admittedly more than I like), if a deer doesn't drop fast from a vitals hit odds of recovery are very low. Blood trail almost invariably goes light due to clotting, then eventually cold because the deer rarely "bed down and die" as we wish they would. TACC
Depending on where you are coyotes might be more of a problem then weather IMHO.Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Five Seasons
coyotes, warm weather and gut shots are your biggest threats. You're probably going to lose some meat unless it was a liver hit and you get to it quick enough. It's getting warm in 8F, but even if you lose some meat it's better to get most of it than risk getting none of it by heading back in too quick
