Grackles and Redwings

They started showing up at my feeders late last week...

I normally don't see them here in Dogpatch until around the second   week of March..

Perhaps the damned woodchuck was right..

Hoping so Dan!  Bring spring.  Was nice out this weekend but cold at my place.  That wind coming off the frozen lake made it 15 degrees colder than a couple miles down the road.

Saw my first Redwings of the year yesterday, up on the farm. Unusual to see them this early up there. 

No Grackles yet. But they won't be far behind.

Haven't heard any RWBB's yet, but there's vultures back in the Hudson valley.  Wouldn't be surprised to hear the RWBB'S again soon, house is near a bunch of swamps.  Geese were pairing up and honking yesterday though!

Had the pup out saturday morning .. I heard rwbb... thought the fever had me hallucinating.

Been seeing small flocks at a farm down the road. Not looking forward to the invasion.

Two flocks of geese flew over at 950 while was on break,honking away.cmon spring!birds were loving the back lawn yesterday flipping leaves over

I have a swamp behind my house and had 3 or 4 rwbb back there . saw a wood duck too . Hopefully he uses my wood duck house lol it has been up 3 or 4 years now and nothing  but squirrels  and bees in it lolol

Huge flock of grackles this afternoon  in the creek bottom spilling into cow pasture  acrossed the road .

Birds are loving the peanut butter suet today.bunch of robins in tree.have had male/female cardinal,blue jay,pileated woodpecker and looked like a northern flicker woodpecker.smaller black/white woodpecker too.not good with names!
