What's the secret to winning .I've done almost every gun raffle going but only have the paper to show for it .

Sometimes luck, sometimes perhaps  buying a lot of tickets and such .

Im 2 for 3 winning guns there , none this year and I was kind like wtf .... lol .

Also have to look at the odds, the “ bucket raffle “ where you put your tickets in The bucket corresponding to the prize , has the worst odds I believe  . I put a lot of my tickets in the gun buckets, but so does everyone else. The gun board is only 50 tickets sold per gun better odds  , but they’re $20 each . I’ve won on each though .

It cost about $200 to get in the drawing for that Howa but I think only are 12 in it .

Ive won over the years at different functions ,3 guns , and 4 , 50/50’s that I remember . But my wife says I’m a winner everyday !

I tend to agree with Nomad.  Luck is huge as is entering the games that cost more but have better odds.   I never win anything in the general raffle.  Just too many tickets in those buckets.  I prefer to take a shot at the games that cost a bit more but have better odds.  The Howa was a 1 in 12 shot at winning at a cost of $200 (you did win a knife for the entry cost).  The dimension started with a 1 in 52 shot at winning at a cost of $10 and if you won a cooler, you then had a 1 in 4 shot at the gun.   Gun board is 1 in 50 every drawing for $20.   This year I think I spent about $400 at the banquet for both Natalie and me, excluding live auction items.  That included dinner, general raffle tickets and the other games.  I will add, you can get some great deals on higher priced items in the live auction if you are in the market for the item.

it helps to have your very lucky daughter pick everything for you.  Lol

After close to 30 years of gun raffles and zero guns I’d have to win an SUV to have an ROI

I am ahead at this point but much like a casino, the longer I play the more likely I will be on the negative.  That said, it’s a fun night whether we win or not.

Between general tickets dinner then gunboard and a other raffles I spent between 400-450.  I didn't win anything but still had a great time.

I thick next year instead of throwing $20 at the gunboard for every drawing I might buy a 4-5 tickets for the first couple of drawings.
