Awesome pics. Ive been waiting on a deer carcass near my dads property, so I could stake it and put a cam on it. They usually get hit by cars frequently around there, but not lately.

Great shots.  Did you get lots of pics of crows and such?  I would think they would fill your card PDQ?

Funny you should ask! In the past 2 winters of doing this, I haven't gotten ANY (ZERO!) pics of crows!! I was thinking about how odd that was that I haven't gotten any crow pics at all. I don't know why. I put the carcass and scraps under a pine tree, just to keep some snow off of it. Don't know if maybe they can't see it from above or what? I'm NOT complaining though! I have gotten a few redtail hawk pics though, but they can make some cool pics themselves!

Those S O B's aren't little puppies ! Definitely hybrid coyotes who mated with wolves at some point. They look like their pushing the 100lb scale.

it looks like coyotes have earned themselves a little recognition by landing a spot on the cover of the 2010-2011 DEC hunting and trapping guide.

along with a short story and link to another page listed on a SUNY college website , they are doing an impact study with a completion date in mid 2011.

its examining the impact of coyotes on the deer population in two test areas.

i guess this is where our funding from license sales is going.

knowledge is power i guess.
