Can’t find my rail lube , what else can I use

Recommended Posts

Strings get lubed with a waxy substance. Cables & serving do NOT get lubed! Rails get lubed with an oily substance. Per my Xbow mfger.

i don't shoot crossbows but concepts are the same as regular bows. i've heard and could imagine arrow lube that 3D shooters use works well. I wouldn't use wax on the rails it'll collect and hold all kinds of dirt and what not that'll wear on the string. if you have to it's better than nothing but i'd wipe it clean and reapply each outing. save that for only the bare portions of the string. use good stuff too that's soft like chapstick. i use BCY X-wax.

I wonder if Armor All would work if you wiped it on before taking the X-Bow to the woods . I have used Armor All on my practice arrows to make it easier to pull them out of the 3-D targets ,
