nybuckboy
Is this afternoon (today) be a really good time to get out and sit just before the storm? OR would tomorrow morning just after storm subside be better? Edited December 16, 2020 by nybuckboy
mlammerhirt
Gonna try before......hopefully they are strapping on the feed bag and will be up and moving late afternoon. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
Kmartinson
I think both, either way you still have to be between food and bedding. I watch the wind and find that when the wind switches between west and east and west the deer really make moves, im guessing because they bed on wind determined locations. BizCT
After. If you get in earlier enough tomorrow you can follow fresh tracks and catch one in a bed.
Swamp_bucks
They were out feeding on my way to my sons daycare and it's been snowing here for a couple hours already.
Don_C
I have only ever had success hunting before a storm one time. I shot a small buck right as the Snovember storm of 2014 rolled into WNY that Monday morning. By Tuesday morning we were buried.
Bolt action
In this case I'd say either could work to your benefit. They should be up and moving to feed prior to the storm rolling through, and you should have fresh tracks to follow after.

mowin
I wanted to get out badly, but just couldn't make it. Around 4:00, I drove past my hunting spots on the way home, and the deer were out in force. One field had 13, couple others had 8. Many deer out in other fields I don't hunt. You’re tougher than that! Now I need some post snow advice due to some restrictions on the land I hunt for this management program.I MUST be in a tree so I cannot just get on fresh tracks and run one down! So how do I use fresh tracks in conjunction with a climber? I’ll be hunting the afternoon sit-Would you set on the fresh track expecting the same deer to reverse its course or have more follow the same or circle beyond the assumed bed anticipating it leaves in a new direction. Food is scarce and has been primarily grass and ferns.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Robhuntandfish
My best buck ever right before a big storm. I hit him and glad it was short track. We closed at work the next day.
