A friend just found this on his property, hope it’s not ehd. I told him to search all over by water and contact dec.

I hope not either, but being it looks like a relatively healthy buck in velvet, it might've succumbed to EHD.

This is southern tier zone 7 we searched every other water source around multiple properties and found nothing that day. The weird part is the same area we’ve found a random dead opossum before and also a raccoon.
