I think it brings a lot to the forum. It sure makes it obvious who Yuri Bezmenov is referring to when he describes who are the useful idiots that are being used by the socialists/communists in this country. 
Let’s face it. The left is doing everything that they can to destroy this country. There is a reason why his approval rating is at an all time low. There is not one good thing that he has done since taking office and he sure as hell has not been able to unite this country or follow the science like he has preached. 
If you don’t like the political forum, don’t read it or post in it. Move along. Simple as that.

Personally, I’d like it to go back to HUNTING and FISHING related discussions in this section. Most of the crap in this section turns into a headache. I hate Patrolling it, I dont Want to read the crap that gets posted, but I kind of have to. It’s annoying and makes it so I dont even care to participate, as I read crap in here, it gets my blood boiling and I log off. 
 

Its not my site though, so it’s not my call.

Jerkman, I think you look at my posts with a jaundiced eye and have no idea what you're talking about.  Give me an example to work with.  I think your judgement is biased due to leftist indoctrination, but can't be sure until you tell me exactly what offends you.

I'm all for equality, justice and individual rights.  I'm far from miserable or hateful.  I do sense a lot of hate in your post though.  None of it offends me either, it just makes me pity you.

I posts things in the political section to inform people about issues I think are important and should be known.  If you choose to discard the message, that's OK, but don't attack it because you hate the fact the issue is mentioned, or hate the person posting the message.

I'll give you the opportunity to support your allegations/accusations here, because I have no fear you can.

i used to bring this up all the time. I'm well documented and known for my opinions on how this sub does more harm than good. 

It's always been shot down with the ignorant "free speech" nonsense. Which any educated individual would know that "free speech" doesn't apply to a privately owned internet forum... but when you read the thoughts and opinions of these people it adds up.

strong, strong disagreement there. Many use hunting to escape the grind and nonsene of the world. Yet in the off-season (in particular when papsmear wasn't banned) the top 10 newest posts were all politics and many of them teetering on the racist and bigoted, let alone the back and forth it creates isn't good either. It was hard to just scroll when that guy posted 6 new articles an hour. Same could be said for 80's rock videos and karate instructions. I'd add the beloved growalot's "i went to the mailbox today and this crazy unbelievable thing happened" to the list too. 

There should be no off-season except maybe june-july where most of us are busy anyhow. There's something to hunt and/or prepare to hunt from August-May in NY.

If you guys are going to quote me, at least use all of what I said and don't take a part of it out of context to make it sound like I said something I did not say.

The main stream media does that all the time.  That's why nobody with any sense believes them anymore.

Here's what I said:

If the political posts are kept civil, they do nothing to detract from hunting.  It's the intolerance and rude name calling replies that make the forum less than it should be."

Belo, all of what you said about political posts was resolved when the powers that be decided to move the political forum off of current activity and put it where only those with a mind to see it could find it.  So that is currently a non-issue.  But you are right, that doesn't solve the other issue you mentioned.  Just goes to show the forum will always be imperfect.  Tolerant folks are willing to accept what they don't like and just focus on what they do.  Far be it for me to assume I know what others like and don't like.  I also would never suggest anything on this forum be eliminated because I had a personal dislike for it, nor would I disguise my motives by precociously saying I know what's best for the forum.   Nothing stops anyone from posting hunting posts during the entire year, so I don't understand why having a political forum on a side rail relates to that.

Don't know what your story is dude I don't know you I don't know who this  storm is and you bring me up in the thread that I almost never look and didn't you just get banned for something and you're back here causing trouble again crazy .

Maybe "white supremacy" was the incorrect word choice as I have no clue what grouse looks like. I believe racist/racial/anti gay/trans/bigoted posts would probably have been a better choice of words. And don't worry. I'm certain someone will post something abhorrent soon enough. My point being the only reason to have a political thread is to discuss laws related to guns/hunting. Which if you haven't already noticed we currently do have threads devoted specifically to hunting/gun laws. No reason to have a political page for a hunting forum.

Just looking at the Political Humor thread to see what Jerkman is talking about, and all of Grouse's photo posts seem to have disappeared the same way that Rattler did after posting a photo of his illegal bait station in the trail cam thread. Anyone else able to see them, maybe it's just my computer.
