My wife and I have always had black labs. The last two we had were brothers, and they lived to be 15 and 16yrs old. They were sweethearts!  Sure do miss them.  They passed around 3 years ago.  We never got any more since...don't know if we will again. That was too much heartbreak.

They got along great.  They were constant companions.

Love labs. I had shepherd/lab mix.  I still miss her

This handsome guy is my neighbors dog. He's the very definition of a rescue, a DEC officer found him abandoned in the woods on Long Island. The vet thinks he was out there at least three weeks, he was all bones and his ears were frostbit. He lived with some officers for a couple weeks and they named him Bill but they couldn't keep him so I drove down and got him for my neighbor. He's an awesome dog. They asked the vet why he was so docile at first and the vet said "because he's grateful". Anyway I'm watching him this weekend so I posted him up!

I have saw a lot of pointers for sale the last few years most aren't puppies and aren't from litters. They are great family dogs but very active and need that exercise.

Unfortunately that is the reality.  Sometimes people go in with the best intentions but bite off more than they can chew.  Gsp need their exercise.  Otherwise they can get stir crazy.    But id rather see an owner recognize they cant give them what they need opposed to keeping them in a situation that isnt meant for the them.

A tired dog is a happy dog (and owner)

Ziva ain't spoiled, like I said she goes where I go. She loves to sled ride and now she insists on riding in the ice shanty sled on the way out and back ice fishing. I said we are leaving so she hopped aboard for her ride back. She has been the talk of the ice fisherman watching her ride the sled. You should see her riding the taboggan when we have snow on the hill.
