wooly went through some life changing events. Does not have good internet connection where he is now. So does not post to this, or any other forum that I am aware of. Sure do miss him. I will always call him my friend.
In the past we have had this as a year by year thread, but now we will just have this one that will run continuously! Post up all of your fishing adventures in real time, and see what others are up to in this thread!
If I keep hand lifting and cocking this Excalibur Crossbow, so I decided to put on one of those crank cocking gizmos and stay a 98 lbs weakling LOL! It does make for more enjoyable long shooting sessions.

I guess it is a silent one as it makes very little noise, it is easier especially when you sit down at the bench and fire a bunch of shots. For hunting I could get by without it using the rope cocker, pulling it up a few times is no problem. Cocking it by hand for many shots is a different story, it will wear you out.

We went with a generac 14k unit with a 200amp transfer switch. We were out of power for 2.5 days a few weeks ago. We took showers, cooked, ran the pool pump and the central air kept the house cool. Well worth the money spent.
The Good Lord blessed me with a fat mature doe at 2 minutes past sunset this evening. Beat the buzzer by 28 minutes. I’m lovin this early antlerless gun season. Takes most of the “meat” pressure off for the remainder of the seasons this year.
I ended up with a Diawa Mini Spin take down, comes in a case that can be used to carry some tackle. It will fit in my motorcycle bags, I ride the dirt roads up on the tug and sometimes fish small steams, I drift salted buckeye minnows into culvert pipes that go under the roads for little Brookies. I also have a decent telescoping rog that works well.

I’m definitely thanking Him for this “fatted calf” that He blessed my wife and I with last night:
I can’t wait for a fillet mignonette sub for dinner tonight, and I’m really looking forward to the liver.
