  1. That is what I like to do. I don't like to P out of a stand especially early season or rut, I have had them stand and look up at me like WT? After a November rut and the big ADK trip I take it easy and will do it right out of the stand.
  2. Good luck to you both! Both bucks are real nice hope he gets one!
  3. Looks like a good one! Get him before he leaves for doe! Good luck, real beauty!
  4. Can't deny my Winchester model 94 in 44 Mag using Federal 300 grain CaseCore, shot some Remington 180 JSP that I really like, they shoot much flatter than the 300 gr. Da Open sights. Sometimes I load varying rounds in this gun only. Savage 110 in 30-06 Federal premium 165 gr sierra boat tail, gun is not a tack driver but it's close. Love that gun. Bushnell 3X9 40mm. The 30-30 I have been testing 150 grains and it shoots well, few more tests at the range to determine which round I will choose. Bushnell scope. Not sure which gun will be used after the first day. I tend to like the open sights and usually don't hunt many open area's but all 3 have sentimental value so any one can be chosen on any day.
  5. I watched it on YouTube. Was not worth paying for a circus act but both laughed all the way to the bank. Basically what I expected. Mayweather let Connor punch himself out and went to work after that. Congrats Connor you are the only man Mayweather TKOed!
  6. Nice, hopefully the other fawn is hiding.
  7. Welcome aboard! Jump right in don't be shy! If you have been lurking long enough you know to not take anything personal we simply like to argue about most anything! Great to have you!
  8. 3 new properties to set up, looking forward to being in the woods after I help hunt (Drag deer out.) on the private property.
  9. NOOOOOO, I don't want to wear glasses, lol. Almost time, arg.
  10. They are very curious when young. The lead doe and weary bucks will avoid them if they smell scent that is unfamiliar or they make noise at night. Those older deer are smarter and more careful near what they see as danger. Are these deer brother and sister? 2 year old deer are not very smart or woods wise yet.
  11. Real beauty! Good luck with him!

    Dammit

Set up a natural blind behind it!!! Especially if it's a good spot! That sucks.
  13. If you still have issues see a bow tech that can have you shoot broad heads. A really good tech will figure it out, way to much for me to play around with but things like putting a half twist on one loop or changing weight of the arrow or draw weight all makes a big difference. I find when thing are off so much that a slight adjustments of the arrow rest does not fix it then usually something is not right on the set up. EX: Too light arrows, tips, improperly adjusted cams, string issues, knock height etc. Good techs with experience do so much more than your average Joe who had a bow press and thinks he knows what he is doing. Almost like the parent that says "My kid knows everything about computers. Can you fix it for him?" lol
  14. If you get caught in the area without letting the DEC know they will fine you for baiting! Be careful!
  15. For you right handed shooters shooting low left, hold your form through the shot. (Follow through) Often as right handed shooters if we drop our arm on the shot is will go that direction, left low. Keep up the good work guys season is close, as for me target panic is an issue, again! lol I am going to try aiming without shooting, I think that is a great idea. Also going to try drawing directly on target vs drawing down on target then up into it.
  16. Next time you shoot check your peep to sight up and down alignment, if it is good just adjust the sight. Great groups!
  17. 31 yards. I am also shooting less. Really trying to hold good form for that first shot. This was about an inch higher than I wanted, I was going for more of a heart shot but was happy with it. Not happy with my form as I pulled up slightly. Shooting into the sun, cap was a must. Put black tape over my fiber optics to lower the halo on the pins. My first pin is 32-72 the first 2 cover most shots.
  18. Try Rage, there is a reason many of us like them. One is they are very close to field tips in so far as impact point. If it is a high or low shot you can simply adjust the sight or compensate. Mine are slightly low. The broad heads weight slightly lower than my 100 grain tips but somehow hit lower, resistance of the blades in the air I figure? If you have the same issue of slightly low impact simply adjust your sight. 1/2 inch at 40 yards difference with practice tips. I will test actual broad heads soon but slightly low is acceptable for me.
