  1. I think a you see buckshot in the states where they can run deer with dogs too.
  2. what kind of energy is it carrying out at 100 yards out of a pistol barrel?
  3. We gotta get you a vacuum sealer...LOL, will keep for two years easily
  4. how could he/they justify closing down the travel from those countries an not making a more straight forward effort to shut down out boarders? that would basically be saying that you can't fly here but you can fly to Mexico and walk across.
  5. basically the process hasn't changed since it was published but it won't have the bullet and powder selections that the newer manual will have. Also may be missing some of the more modern cartridges. and from the looks of the stuff there, he was casting some of his own bullets.
  6. you guys read the comments, I have heard this too but the Anti's are now pushing for full ovary removal because that stops the estrous cycle. You know what, let them eat their homes to the ground until they allow access. lol. I keep hearing how hunters can't make the required reductions. I don't agree. in areas that need it, access, more tags, allow baiting and get it done.
  7. Look into these http://www.eastonhunting.com/products/arrows/full-metal-jacket
  8. Next time you buy arrows, Grow, try the Full Metal Jackets. tough as nails.
  9. Montec G5. cut on contact and an edge angle that allows resharpening on a flat diamond stone. same broadhead has been through 4 deer, including 2 offside shoulder blades and still straight and true.
  10. Well move forward or just get out of the way...lol. It isn't like we are doing surgery to repair the wounds, we are just gutting them. Honestly the biggest issue I see with hunters gutting deer is their knives are too damned big. So yes. size does matt and unlike many other aspects in life, smaller is better.
  11. Clarification. You only have an either sex and an antler less for that early season if you but bow and muzzleloader licenses. If you only buy one ( and you need the muzzleloader to hunt with crossbow in that two week early season) you only get an either sex tag
  12. no. to hunt the last two weeks of bow with a crossbow you need to buy a muzzleloader license. Your regular season tag can be used to hunt with a crossbow during regular season and you need a ML license to hunt the special late season with a crossbow (but if you still have your regular season tag it can be used in the late special season to ta either sex. ) you need to do the online certification course and have the certificate with you to hunt with a cross bow.
  13. Congrats. I was up in 5H this weekend also. Very nice day yesterday but we deserved it after Saturday...lol
  14. Congrats Joe, It sure was a wet one up north this weekend. I stuck it out all day Saturday but it wasn't easy.
  15. You are wrong. I lease with Cotton Hanlon. Grab a 100 acre lease and split with 4 guys and you have a pretty affordable place to hunt. You will also have a place to use 12 months out of he year, not just a hunting season lease. So, not to be rude, but you don't know what you are talking about.
  16. I don't think we will see any explosion of Ebola from any of these cases because they are on than and tracking all the people in contact. I am waiting for it to spread into Mexico and and then watch how it spreads into the U.S.
  17. I got a five spot friendly bet that says that isn't the case.
  18. right to the point where the guy next to you on the plane wipes his nose or coughs into his hand or sneezes in you face. They can't guarantee how it is transmitted and they don't know when someone is fist contagious. read yesterday that 13% don't exhibit a fever during early symptoms. early symptoms are very very similar to the flu. I am getting a flu shot this year to just minimize chance f getting suspected of something and ending up in a ward next to someone who does have it.
  19. she did. Actually called the CDC (Centers for Disinformation and Cover-ups) multiple times and asked if it was ok for her to go. she disclosed the 99.7 fever and they said that it was below the 101 something threshold. Now these are the folks telling us not to worry about transmission on public transportation but they instruct people with symptoms not to use public transportation to minimize the threat of spreading it.
  20. Tha is what my Father did when I was 10. He hasn't gutted a deer since.
