Where did you get those numbers? Could you list the units of measure for the 62,000 and 50,000 -

How do you come to know this? That is what I am asking. From everything I have seen on this. (limited to today because of this thread) Never mind....just came across a few articles. As to the Op's question then. the Mil spec should be fine in his 308 -

I reload all my hunting ammo (Sierras). But the mil spec stuff is fine for plinking, agreed on the no hunting with it. It can be used in the rifles though from everything I have read. Do you have other documentation that shows otherwise? -

I did a bit of reading this morning and I see what you mean. Apparently the 308 and the 7.62 don't have the chamber and pressure variations that the 5.56 and 223 have. Great to know since I have a 308. -
Shawn. The mandrel in my neck sizing die for the 223 Measures .222

Does the NATO rounds in 7.62 have tho same increased pressure issues over a 308 that you run into with the 5.56? -
If he sees his shadow it is six more weeks of winter. If he doesn't, it is only a month and a half

And his products are GREAT!!!

Just an FYI. The auto disk can do any short action like a 223 or 243 or 308. You just need the extension kit. I wouldn't use it for precision work but if I was going to the range to run some mags through an AR or something like that it works great.

That is what they did in Connecticut in some areas. The coastal areas with the residential / high deer populations allow baiting.

I dropped my gun club membership because of it. I just couldn't justify the $200 dues since I wasn't going as much as I did before. Looks like I will be shooting more at camp.

That wasn't the case yesterday. It was two boxes but they were 1,000 boxes.

Let me throw out a scenario. in the picture the red line is 150' from houses. the Yellow is 500'. This property can legally be hunted with permission, even with a gun. As a homeowner on the left side you really don't have control over whether this woods is hunted or not. On which line would you rather have a hunter set up on? (in know Doc's answer is neither...lol) the 500 and even the 150' is where you are standing when you discharge, it isn't about where the game is. This is one of those suburban scenarios.

I was at the shop in Rochester yesterday. Powder was on short supply but they had primers. Bullets seemed pretty well stocked. I grabbed a thousand small rifle and a thousand small pistol. Remingtons, I like the CCI's better but I haven't seem them on shelves in a while

For the exact reasons that Doc mentioned. Politics in an election year.
-
I know what you mean but the shape of the lot could mean as much as the actual acreage.
-
that would require their house to be on the property line. The question can't be answered without knowing the make up of the adjacent properties. I could legally hunt on a lot 20'x20'

I had one spot that another guy and I hunted for two years. Permission to park and hunt, All the neighbors except one gave recovery rights and the ones within 500' gave hunting rights. So it is all set to go, or do we not hunt it because of the one woman that said we couldn't recover. Odds were in our favor and luckily we didn't have to renegotiate. I suppose I would have just asked her again, with the emphasis on how many ticks we have been seeing on deer that year. Besides the one the people in the neighborhood we very pleased. We shared some of the deer we took. They go a little revenge for the hundreds of dollars and hours lost on ruined gardens and landscaping. Like Grow said. I have seen a standing deer clear a 6' ROW fence in a bound. Short of totally enclosing in fence, if they want to eat it they will get to it. Don't get me wrong. This wasn't really a hunt. We saw some bruiser bucks but no shots, this was more of tag filling. It was in 8C and basically if you keep shooting does you keep getting new tags. no limit.

Wow. That doesn't even seem right. If you buy bulk you can get 115gr FMJ for about .11/ round Primers will be .035/round powder will run around .015 / round )only buying 1# jugs Brass if you have to buy new will run about .25 per round but figuring at least 5 reloads is .05 / round ( I have .357 brass that is on the 9th reload and still looks great. I don't load hot and crimps are mild) That would give you .21 per round and that is very conservative pricing. You can do better on the brass and a bit on the powder numbers. May even be able to better the bullet number if you watch for sales.
