  1. Beer and stadium food at the Ranger game tonight! We are sitting right behind the bench in Dolans suite!! Two middle aged guys with their two daughters, can't miss us!!!
  2. X-bows don't bother me one bit. In fact I see myself using one down road at some time. If someone wanted to hunt my property with one it would be fine. You will always have some newbies harvesting big deer their first few times out. I wouldn't look down on this as taking away my chance to get a big one with my bow. I would be thankful this hunter was able to harvest the deer without wounding it. My wall will have a spot one day for a deer that was killed with the x-bow and it won't feel or look any different than the ones up there to date.
  3. First off go out and buy a lot of patience! Second wear clothes that are comfortable and suited for temps and precipitation. Practice in these clothes when shooting especially the jacket you will be wearing. Lastly have fun, It's mostly a waiting game but if you put in your time scouting you could shorten the wait! GL
  4. Just today http://money.cnn.com/2016/03/29/investing/earthquakes-fracking-usgs-oil-gas/index.html?iid=hp-toplead-dom
  5. Pretty good match. What do you mean by slipping?
  6. Very nice Joe. Looking forward to the hunts!
  7. On the size I wouldn't make them that big. Just put it by a major travel route from bedding to corn.
  8. My neighbor found these behind the camp. He has found 5 sheds so far just one matching set.
  9. Wired 4 plugs in the basement wrong. Flipped the breaker and it started smoking. Needless to say I try to stay away from electric these days!
  10. Awesome work. Can I book you for next year? lol
  11. Sorry to say my neighbor passed today. After surviving a stroke and having his hand amputated his heart gave out. I know Ted is hunting up in heaven. Your camp is in good hands and this season will be dedicated to him. Rest in peace my friend……..
  12. Worked at a mini golf my brother in law owned. I was 14 at the time. They had an arcade also so he paid me in quarters and I would go right back in and spend all my money on the machines! SOB…..lol
  13. Wooly you on my land? Those are all our misses, you know we can't shoot worth a damn at bow season! lol
  14. Thinking back at the age of 16 I got my first deer. It was a spike horn. I shot him, gutted him, drugged him out, ate him and had him mounted. All by myself (I shared some meat) This was 36 years ago. He hangs among the giants at my camp and will always be my most special mount. (BTW he spent 4 years ay college with me in the off campus living. How he survived I don't know or….remember!)
  15. We left two bucks upstate to be mounted. They cost $500 per mount. One of the guys brought his down to the Island and paid the same price. Was your son's mount in the same price range?
  16. Always great to have your first one mounted. Your boy must be so excite to have it!
  17. That's one thing, down here on the island there are these red light cameras every where. I slam on the breaks when I see a yellow light. 75$ fine and a $35 surcharge. I hate those damn cameras.
