Live From The Woods 2019 Turkey Edition
ATbuckhunter replied to WNYBuckHunter's topic in Turkey Hunting
I know all about it taking a toll. Waking up at 2:30 and driving 2 hours one way can take a toll. If I want to have any chance of doing anything later in the day I have to take a 2 hour nap after I get home. -
But I believe the best polinators we have are european honey bees
-
As far as I know, no one really knows the cause and how to prevent it. Scary to think just how important a small insect can really be and how hard we'd have to work with out them.

Amazing work. How much do you charge? Send me pm if you'd like

The whole world is haveing a bee crisis. Its known as Colony collaps disorder

No clue what that is, but im pretty car illiterate as it is

Seen a few over the years. I had one at 20 yards the last day of rifle season for over 40 minutes. Landowner didnt want it shot so I had to pass it. It was hard watching it go and even harder to hear it was hit soon after by a car.

How old were you when you learned to shoot?
ATbuckhunter replied to UpStateRedNeck's topic in General Chit Chat
I remember having a gun put in my hands as early as I can remember. It couldnt shoot, but I was taught safety and how to handle a gun that way. I don't think I was more than 4 or 5 when I started shooting a .22. I started earlier than most, but ive been around guns my whole life. For some reason I didnt start shooting a BB gun until i was in the 3rd or 4th grade for some reason. -
The government will pay you $1,000 to adopt a mustang

If I loved upstate and had the space for it, I would jump on this opprotunity. I always loved horses and always wanted one, but knew id probably never have one. I knew a guy who used to hunt on a horse and he always did very well every year...definitely something Id love to try. -
Live From The Woods 2019 Turkey Edition

I was able to convince my father to go out today and not a gobble yet. Were Hunting my best deer spot to try something different. This area is loaded with birds in the fall, but for some reason it’s hit or miss in the spring. Some huge gobblers around here though. Probably going to be the only time I can convince him to go out though. Had a young buck at 15 yards for 20 minutes and I’m currently watch g a rabbit from my car. I decided to go around scouting for deer spots this fall and I found a few really nice spots. I’m already excited for this season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Ouch. Ive broken a couple rods, but not that badly. Now that the rain is starting to calm down, we should figure out a day to head up to the Delaware

Never thought about it being a feeder, but it makes sense. How was the water looking?

I use protection while doing any kind of shooting on the range or in the field hunting. I have taken some shots with out them because I couldnt get to my hearing protection fast enough though. I use the howard leight impact sport ones. They are pretty good and have good audio. Sometimes if i dont put them on perfectly I still get a little ringing in my right ear, but it goes away pretty fast. I messed up an opprotunity at a turkey yesterday because of the audio enhancment, but other than that theyre perfect. I will continue to use them. Also an added benefit is when i keep them on at the lowest power setting for duck hunting they warm my ears after a little while on.
