So should he have posted some far out site as evidence to support his claim like your boy papist does? The problem isn't that he's taking time off, it's that he publicly criticized Obama for golfing instead of working. Somehow he figured that when he does it, it's all alright. He's just a big hypocrite Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My grapes are having a real early harvest this year as well as my peaches. Looks to me that we'll have a cooler fall and colder winter, but I could be waay off.

Are there any restrictions on quartering and packing out game?

He basically said once you have the skin off it, it really doesn't matter. Unless its a buck I don't even take the head with me -

I didn't think it was either, but I guess an officer could make the case that a deer you have tagged is not actually the deer the tag is meant for. -
Never heard of anyone failing and not getting the certificate at the end of the class. I remember the instructors told us that even if we failed, they'd make sure we passed in the end. I've heard stories of them giving a new test and telling them the right answers, but explaining why they were right. It was one of the easiest tests Ive ever taken, with most of it being common sense questions.

NY really does have such a wide range of habitat to hunt and fish in. We also have access to a lot of public land which is great for everyone. Sometimes i day dream about moving to states like Montana or Iowa, but a lot of those states don't have the diversity we do. The deer hunting is actually pretty good here...there are certainly many states that are worse.

Well some states require you to have a piece of hide still attached to one of the quarters to show that the meat did come from either a doe or a buck. -

I actually raised this question to the DEC agent who came to the event we held at Suffolk Archers yesterday. He told me that as long as the tag is filled out properly, its okay to quarter the animal in the field. He said if he catches you just as your leaving your hunting property he would probably ask to see the gut pile and hide for proof of sex, but if your just driving with it you'll be fine. -
I've never been to the Macy's day parade, but as far as I know it is packed around those blocks during the parade.

Okay I think I remember seeing you in the back and with Jason. I didn't join you guys on the search because I had some people come in after

Glad you could make it and that you learned a thing or two. I know I learned a ton from some of the guys there. Next time you come, don't be afraid to say hello and chat a bit.

Nice buck!

When I took it back in 09 we had to shoot. I was exempt from it since I had not gotten my bow yet.

Early bear season hunting hot spots in southern zone
ATbuckhunter replied to AaronBlaine's topic in General Hunting
100 percent true. The harvest numbers are also better in the Catskills. A better chance of getting a bear there than in the Adirondacks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Don't worry if you can't get it flying the same Saturday. If your coming to Suffolk archers on Sunday, I'm sure some of the guys there would be more than willing to help out.

ATbuckhunter replied to AaronBlaine's topic in General Hunting
One thing I would do is look at the last few years bear take during the early bear season. I would focus on the areas that have produced good numbers the last few years. That's what I'm planning on doing at least. -
Shoot id sleep a lot better knowing there was a chance at getting a deer like that during the season!
