For me BLT. At work we get a pound of bacon per man.... Do Not eat on stand, well Atomic fireballs but not in a sandwich. When I camp out on my land,like next week. I bring a ham and Swiss sub with l,t,o hot peppers and mayo. Some dogfish head and a cigar.

Slap an Obama sticker on that Prius , and I say you get at least 3 traffic tickets the first year.... Kinda like when the druggies all put Greatful Dead stickers on their cars ,instant traffic stop. If you hardly drive it who cares about mpg ? I own 4 cars one is a 8 cyl. But ths wife puts less then 5 k A Year on it , myself I'd rather have the size safety and room and oh ya power then save a few hundred a year on gas. I hunt out of a car, but large 4 doors,Prius seems a bit small. But then I hunt a qdm farm,big bucks only !

Some random thoughts if anyone cares. NYC is not my kind of place, but I've been there a few times,spent one month there training with the FDNY. Those guys were nice, but I was struck by how little they knew about ANY other part of the state, they were completely lost, talk about taking the boy off the farm.... Almost to a man they drove Junkers and could not afford a house. Some drove 80 miles one way to work just so they could buy a small house that they cold afford. Up here the brothers own 2,500 square foot houses on 1 acre lots in good suburbs drive maybe 15 to 20 minutes to work in new trucks. I think i ll put up with the pizza ......

Nice. I was out yesterday and today skiing. Normally you could not pay me to go out on the week ends, but my daughter and her boyfriend are here, so we hit it early. Love the water,enjoy .

Me too. Lone Wolf climbing sticks. 3 pieces that go on separately . 3 get me 15 feet up,I too would like 20 but make do the few times I use this set up. Take the bottom one with me easier to carry then my bow. Truth be told I have not seen a sign of another hunter on my spot in years and years, so someone using my stand is not much of a concern , but I like to be safe .

The days go slow and the years go fast.

Had Dave6x6's cell number as he hunts the farm on the north boarder of the farm I hunt. Just looked for it ,but its not there...... When I spoke with him at the end of the season meeting of local farms/ hunters at that point he was taking a break from the forums.

Here's what I 'm doing all summer to prep. The deer will be there, the freezer and once in awhile the wall willl be filled, just like every year of the last 30 plus.

Water ski, I 'll be on the bay tomorrow! Float in the pool, lay in a recliner outside , cook out. Wish I could surf....

Nice piece. I now bring a 24 foot extension ladder into the woods. It's light weight easy to carry,yep one more trip but much safer ,it has a "v" at the top that fits trees nice. Throw up stand ,climb ladder and work off that. Too many of those that was a close one for my aging bones.

May seems to be a big month for them. Always see a lot in May.

Ok I know someone who wants gloves, not just bought on the net but with a connection to the deer,area,hunter. So sure I get a hide tanned but does anyone know of anyplace,person around Rochester that will make a pair ? Thanks Larry

Cut on contact fixed blades for me! Half the time they don't even feel the hit and drop,insight. Magnus 2 blades and Stingers have severed me well for many years now.

There is a reason they make holsters. Now I'm one of those guys who always carries if its legal ,if I bowled I'd carry there as well. I don't get those who pick and choose when and where to carry, do they also take batteries out of their smoke detectors if they are not cooking,smoking etc.? No need for life jackets in the boat today it's calm and we will be near the shore.... Week ago guy came home. And was confronted by a bugler, burglar reached for a gun,returning home owner shot him dead. This Was 4 houses from where my daughter lives btw. Crime in bad areas is largely bad guy against bad guy, crime in good areas is bad guy against good guy, so ya I carry in good areas .

I bought from Ace in Webster. I had a good experience with them.I bought an oval with none of those sloping braces. I had to squeeze it in a narrow spot.this was about 14 years ago I don't remember what I paid. I know a guy who installs pools, he's very good but only does the " west side" . This time of year he 's booked pretty solid though. Deck , two guys at work knocked out in one day and another did my electric.

For me it's late Aug. or Sept. I like to water ski May to Sept as much as possible. I'm going to do some chain saw work tomorrow, maybe move a ladder stand , but I see this as a chore . As for turkey I mostly hit the woods 9 00 and after, that pre dawn stuff is not for me !
