  1. I have NEVER had an issue with a hornaday round, smacked a doe with American whitetail 308 last year. This year using the American whitetail 12ga sabot. My ccw .380 is loaded with hornaday xtp bullets as well as the 9mm. 25.06 has American whitetail and hornaday superformance.
  2. I've never seen more turkeys in my life than the last 2 years in 7s
  3. There was a 4 point almost identical to this that I would always see in Binghamton i81 on ramp (exit 6) after hunting last year.
  4. Last I knew ALL of tioga and chenango were rifle, Broome a small section is east of Windsor.
  5. I'm not a beginner but the Hoyt charger is a hell of a bow for the money. Get to an archery shop and they will have you shoot Multiple bows in your price range. I'd suggest new for your first bow in order to get fitted and all set up.
  6. Easton aftermath 400s, can build a dozen for under $75
  7. I've never shot it but for range use maybe a sw mp 45, I had a compact 40 and liked it but sold it because of the thumbsaftey and it always turning on.
  8. I have good luck with hornaday interlocks in 308, and 25.06. Switching from 12ga sst to the American whitetail interlock slug this year also.
  9. I try to shoot one per hunting area I have (as long. As I have tags) but if a big ol doe steps out I wouldn't hesitate to take another because I know not many people hunt the spots I have access too. Even if that means using my either sex bow tag on a doe I would.
  10. I second splitting. The sternum if not mounting, makes it easier, just concentrate on not piercing the piss sac, stomach or intestines and your doing pretty good.
  11. That's a hell of a 3 year old, good luck
  12. I can't comment on the muzzleloader prt but the set bullet in shotguns does not expand, still hammers deer though. I will be trying the American whitetail interlock slugs this year but wouldn't hesitate to still use the sst.
  13. I believe family members can coregister pistols on there permit, my father and I have all our pistols on both our permits.
  14. Walmart this morning had Winchester 100rd boxes . 9$
  15. I used to have the same but since then have switched to quick detach rings so I could use either or.
  16. Get bore sighted, use a lead sled and shoot one shot, without moving the gun adjust the sights from the bullseye to your bullet hole using the dials. Fine tune after that.new scope and rings can never hurt but usually there is something else wrong such as loose rings or mounted incorrectly.
  17. Still in stock Binghamton dicks, 4 months straight. I guess it's all location
  18. I know a lot of people with aw, they just removed the stock until they need it.
  19. Will be nice bucks in a few years. Can't really tell from my sideways picture left buck has spikes right buck already has splits and is a bit larger body wise.
  20. I don't know what the last owners did but these two youngins are awful friendly. The one got too about 15 yards and he knew I was there.
  21. Well true there is no downside to over penetration, I can use a lighter arrow and still have a pass through
  22. I bought a 6 pack a while back, I think they are over kill for deer because they damn near went through the my target everytime, seemed to bend easy also. But they did quiet my bow due to the weight and I wouldn't hesitate to use them on a bigger game hunt. I went back to 8.8 gpi using Easton aftermath arrows
